The general consensus here is that the hacking thing had a whole lot more to do with $kins than it did with any actual hackers attacking his sites.

I decided long ago to not post at DI - I've always felt it was a honeytrap of sorts - to lure moles on DU into complacency, such that comparing a few IP numbers between DI & DU members could serve Skins as a form of mole detection.

Congratulations on the election. Very few things feel better than winning. My side lost, your side won. I'm not feeling optimistic about our future, but only time will tell.
I am actually a little bit worried for some of the du members. That place is their support system. I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't a few suicides. I know some here would rejoice over that and that's cool. They provide me with a lot of entertainment so I don't wish them harm. Just like this place. Been an avid reader since I first found it. And even though I vehemently disagree with some of the members here, I have never harbored any ill will.
So anyway I just stopped by to congratulate you and say thanks for the temporary accommodations. I'll try not to dirty up the place while I'm here.

Hi Red Alert, welcome. I agree that DU was the support system for many of them, some of them quite fragile. It's an insulated, bubble-like, unhealthy support system, but nonetheless. Many get so addicted that if they screw up, like Will Pitt, they come crawling on hands and knees to beg Skinner for another chance.
Maybe I feel the same way about CC. We were down for a month once, and until we all found a temp home at conservativeunderground, who graciously took us all in, I was a little bereft. You get to know and like your regular forum friends. We all joked that we got a hell of a lot of work done in the interim. :lmao:

Hi Red. I'm glad you're here. I wish Ford would come over here. He's a lib but he's also a decent guy. I'm not a Republican or a Democrat. I seem more like a Republican though because I'm moderate in most things. The Democrats have gone so far off the charts with stupidity that I spend my fun time telling them how stupid they sound.

Welcome - New faces are always good - As for DU, yeah some of those people live and breathe that site - which is crazy.. its the internet, it isn't real life. .. And I also agree that there may be at least a suicide or two at DU because of the (albeit temporary) loss of the site combined with the election loss. As I'm sure you know already, there are only a couple of ways to get banned here, so feel free to speak your mind. We dont do juries, but you might get bitchslapped. Enjoy. :cheersmate:

My theory on DI being down is that Skimmer was running it on the same server and that his capitalist cash cow at The DUmp is his number one priority so DI probably won't be back until after DU.
BTW, I am a conservative and aside from missing The DUmp meltdown happening in real time also wanted to do some gloating to many of the arrogant leftist dickheads on DI.

I didn't know him on DI, never wandered over there much (for no particular reason), but I remember when he said that on DU, pre-ban. He really loves that Dynasty thing...he belongs under some tyrant, really. That's why I think he's at most risk for suicide, he invests his entire selfhood into being ruled.

I've heard she isn't interested in running for office. Pretty much what The SHREW said in 2006 or 2007. I think it depends on how badly the Obamas manage their $$, their cupidity, their desire for government-paid free-shit, and her understanding of how many people loath her. And then there's the factor than many young voters in 2020 will have "enjoyed" MOOCH-chelle-mandated school lunches.
