I feel I have important information
the person or group that hacked and took control of my gmail and gained access to my DU account had a Russian proxy. I know for some time people thought it was a man in Ohio he isn't the person who is doing this. They are using the deep web and can't be tracked. I am also not some troll and I was hurt deeply by those accusations. As for my heritage I am mixed and have AA family to back that up. Some people don't understand mixed people and complexion.

1. Someone tried to gain control of my accounts last month but we couldn't track it. They failed, tho.
Possibly Democratic Underground accounts were targeted with mixed results?
Maybe Skinner can address this and let us know what they have experienced on their end.
All your accounts are belong to us.

Well, on one hand, Yahoo! was hacked, exposing some 500M accounts. OTOH, DU folks' email addies were given to the DNC and/or CHILL campaign; Podesta fell for a phish, and probably rbrnmw fell for it, too. If anything happened at all.
BTW, though I've never used one and don't know how - or care to - proxy servers are used to conceal both the identity AND the location of the proxy user. IOW, it might be a Russian proxy, but it all but certainly was not a Russian user. A US user is vastly more likely.

Also what is now VERY common is that the proxy's are nothing more than honeypots. They are no longer safe to exploit unless you control a compromised remote yourself. Most especially the free, publicly listed ones. Remember, the proxy operator sees every packet that flows through it. I've even been able to reconstruct VOIP voice calls with captured data using nothing more than free software.
