28. No, that's it.
An amazing verdict.
Yes, it's encouraging to see that the special and entrenched interests aren't the only ones allowed to make the law of the land; that the common people have a say too.

11. Here's an actual news story about this. Twitter is not a news source, by the way.
The station that sent the tweet should be listed as your source.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/latest-oregon-standoff-jury-agree-charge-43118933
The leaders of an armed group that took over a national wildlife refuge in rural Oregon have been found not guilty of conspiracy and possession of firearms at a federal facility.
A jury on Thursday exonerated brothers Ammon and Ryan Bundy and five others of conspiring to impede federal workers from their jobs at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
Some of the defendants also were charged with possession of firearms at a federal facility and were acquitted on that count as well.
The standoff began Jan. 2 and lasted nearly six weeks, bringing new attention to a long-running dispute over control of federal lands in the U.S. West.

Still I can't imagine them getting off scot free. Amazing.

Ain't a conviction either.

They need to investigate them all. This is a ****ing travesty. Maybe get rid of the jury system, since Americans are too ducking stupid to understand anything anymore. The government should have gone in, guns blazing, and killed every last one of those assholes. They do not get to own this country !!!!!!!!!

The people that think they are so smart, yet are life losers, never worry about making fools of themselves.
YOU STUPID ASS. THAT IS CALLED A HUNG JURY!
It said exonerated. this means that the jury came back 12-0 not guilty.
Sometimes I just want crotch a aperson that stupid, that willing to display it, and that stupid they don't know they are that stupid.

Doesn't that bother you, though, that there are Americans, people who live among us, people whom we trust, who apparently are Nazis?

Feds should have gone in and killed them all? Pliers and blowtorches? Find the jurors and trash their houses?
Liberals are the modern-day Nazis. They constantly let their masks slip, sometimes in more obvious ways than others. This verdict amped up their goose step a bit more than normal.

Are they ever. Their entire 60's schtick was a lie. (Duh) I talk to some older friends that were "of age" during those years and they are flabbergasted. They still ...kind of.... gave them lip service, but when the mask finally fell off after O-blame-O was installed, they were shocked down to their toes.

I've talked to a couple, over the years, that escaped. They'd have the (D)Ullards curled up in a ball, blubbering about needing a safe space, inside of three minutes.

57. Jury knew more than us
I'm not sure how they got off, I mean it seems pretty clear something illegal happened and somebody died during the ordeal.
I'm guessing wrong charges and a bad prosecutor? At least trespassing?
I have to trust the jurors know more than me.
Now for stupidity that should be fatal.

87. WRONG. Jurors are only allowed to see SOME evidence.
A lot of evidence is not presented in trial after trial. That is pretty much common knowledge if you grew up watching anything on the boob tube. We, the public, see and consider far more evidence. Where did you grow up that you would not know this?

I can imagine the family discussion:
"That one needs 8-shot."
"He deserves 4-shot."
"She gets the rock salt."
"Forget the buck shot for that one, he deserves the .45, the full magazine."
More seriously, rural folk don't take kindly to trespassers. They know that when seconds count the sheriff's deputy is probably doing his/her job at the other end of the county.

Not anti-government, just people POed at the way the Feds have, for decades, gradually stolen their, their families', their friends', and their neighbors' lands. Libs & Progs created the enviro-tyranny, now they don't like its fruit?
:ownit:

The irony here is rich. In context, the famous line by Shakespeare (in "Richard III", IIRC), "First let's kill all the lawyers," was uttered by a minor character who viewed lawyers as obstacles to tyrannous rule by the king. This (and probably other) DU-member wants to kill off juries because they are an obstacle to Federal government tyranny.
A little education for onlurking DU-folk ... from Dictionary.com: Tyranny - "1. arbitrary or unrestrained exercise of power; despotic abuse of authority." For the ancient Greeks, from whom we get the word, a tyrant was a ruler who gained and exercised power in despite of existing law. In that context, such a ruler could even be benign or beneficial, yet still a tyrant.
