What's your favorite way to include kale in a meal?
I either add some raw to a salad or add it to a smoothie.
For those who don't know, "kale" is like lettuce.

2. With eggs
My recipe is much simpler than this one at the link. I make it with just kale, eggs, S&P, and a little parmesan. Delish.

3. Devein it, chop it, and dry it in a slow oven
You don't want to cook it, just dry it. It's good out of hand, on baked potatoes, in salads, as topping for soups, even in tacos.
My main objection to dark leafy greens has always been that they're limp and a little slimy. Drying them avoids that.

in response to the primitive immediately above
7. Me too!
There's plenty of green vegetables and I like most of them. Kale is not on the list.

6. Devein it. Slice thinly crosswise. Saute it in olive oil
with garlic and cumin, salt, pepper. Eat as is or add to other cooked greens or cabbages.

I'da thought that little fad would have run its course. Never got swept up in it.

Do bacon hosts (pigs) eat kale?
-
If you substitute the work 'kale' for 'Spam' in this, it goes rather nicely . . .

True, the cooking and baking primitives have always been susceptible to fads.
Remember how all agog and excited they got over chitpotle?

I swear every time I ate kale I thought I was eating thistle leaves.

There is no green I would eat that has to be "deveined".
-
If Hillary ever drops from a stroke I'll tell you what my favorite vegetable is.

Shrimp, on the other hand.....

My vegetarian friend doesn't even like kale.

I'm surprised one of them hasn't pushed a quinoa/kale/kumbocha smoothie yet.

I read the title and thought they would be talking about cucumbers or squash. :bolt:

I was thinking *sour grapes*.

Oh, I'm sure the primitives are going to have a bumper-crop of those soon.

I was thinking of something unpronounceable from some obscure country somewhere in Europe or Southeast Asia...
If a cow turd had something green growing from it, a DUmmie would eat it!

I don't think that everybody has really picked up where you were heading :cheersmate:

Don't they have an entire forum dedicated to that?
