Oh my.

It's true he's been gone for a while, but I for one don't really care; he can stay gone.

Whatever became of The Magistrate???

I see he hasn't posted in about 2 years. I thought he was a hoot.

I think he was quite elderly so I don't know if he's even still alive.

1. People have asked from time to time.

No one seems to know. I hope he is well and that he just got bored with us.

2. I've seen a couple of other posts about him and

so far as I know, nobody on DU has a clue about where he is. He's one of my favorites as well. Hope he's well and comes back soon.

3. He's missed, no doubt about that. His input would have been excellent to see continually.

5. i think a couple of the old mods are in touch from time to time.

last time this came up (afaik) word was that he was still kicking but over his eyeballs in family issues.

^^^Big Mo, who hangs with a lot of banned primitives.

8. It has been a year or so since he and I last chatted..

He seemed fairly tired of the rancor and seemed happier with his models...

9. Miss him, hope all is well.

Still appreciate his insights and his posting style. He enriched the discussions, and the community.

10. No idea. I hope he's okay.

I always liked his posts - what was in them, and the tone of them.

12. Miss him a lot. I always saw him as a Confucian and enjoyed our exchanges.

Whatever you are doing, Sir, I hope it involves cups of rice wine and small exquisitely crafted poems.

>formal bow<

Hmmmm.

I dunno how to put this, but it's obvious the primitives don't know a whole lot about this guy.

It's true he's pretty old; every night when he pitches his tent one day's march nearer the mausoleum, he's got a considerably shorter journey left, than most of us do.

And yeah, he does model airplanes as a hobby.

Now, this primitive, along with the truemud primitive, is one of the two most-dominated primitives on Skins's island.  They're Jugs', the BainsBane primitive's, wet dream, being utterly submissive to their wives.

It's no mere coincidence this primitive's wife, who also hangs, or used to hang, on Skins's island, goes by the screen-name "SheWhoMustBeObeyed," or some variation thereof.  A very long time ago, I thought that was Skins's wife, but in checking her out, ooops, I was wrong.

But while the truemud primitive's wife uses diapers, pacifiers, and baby-rattles to keep her man in line, TheMagistrate's wife uses leather, whips, chains.  He's been beat up badly enough that he's been hospitalized for injuries.  But, like stupid women who can't "let go of" their "man," he keeps going back to her for more.

The primitives are going to disbelieve all of this, of course, but as the sane and rational world knows, it's kind of perilous to ignore what franksolich knows about the primitives (and usually from their own lips).

I can't believe they're falling all over themselves, "Oh I miss him so!"  He was an asshole and I hope he's dead.

If Skin's would keep up the DUmmieland Dead Pool, the inquiring public would know.

Maybe he got banned? :rimshot:

Maybe he's a sock-puppet whose holder got banned? :rimshot:

Maybe those "family issues" are serial hospitalizations, courtesy of his spouse? :rimshot:

I was about to post the same thing, nearly verbatim. I hope he is dead, and I hope it was slow, painful, and lonely.

Appropos of nothing, really, but it's on the thread:

13. Unfortunately I saw a couple threads where he tried to reason with a Putin

lover here, and I sensed he was just above it all because the responses back to him were just vulgar and juvenile and she called him names as was her usual style. That poster had a lot of vendettas here. She was particularly irrational about Putin and was very anti-American and unloaded on anyone who didn't buy the Putin BS.

I would bet it was more than those exchanges, but it was towards the end of his posting here, so I can't help but think it contributed to his drop off in posting. Too bad those vendettas were allowed to drive off posters here, as he's not the only one she attacked like that.

Note: that poster now posts at the anti-Hillary site so it's not someone here now and I didn't mention a name. Thank you.

Hmmm.

I wonder who the Russophile among Manny's jackass primitives is.

Residents of Jamaica, San Diego, and Alaska spring (or waddle) to mind.
