Trump: Warren Buffett avoids taxes like me. Buffett: Nope, and here's my taxes to prove it.

Donald Trump is a master of the “I am rubber and you are glue” approach to political rhetoric, but at Sunday night’s presidential debate, he tried a novel variant on the strategy. After Anderson Cooper asked him point blank if he used his $916 million reported loss from his 1995 tax return to avoid income taxes in other years, Trump shot back that he did — but so did the fourth richest man in the world and Hillary Clinton supporter Warren Buffett, who Clinton had minutes earlier praised for his advocacy of higher taxes on the rich:
...
The day after, Buffett came out with a statement saying, in effect, bullshit. He has never used a carry-forward, the technique Trump used to avoid taxes, and he has paid taxes every year since 1944, when he was 13 and paid $7 to fund World War II.
...
As a final knife-twist, Buffett notes that he is currently being audited — but releasing information from his return anyway, since that is totally allowed, despite Trump's protests to the contrary.

4. Unlike Trump, Buffet is good at businsss

He's certainly never lost a billion dollars in a single year.

Well they certainly are impressed by the Oracle of Omaha  (as well they should be).  Trouble is they may want to check a few financial pages.

If they did they would find: Buffett's Berkshire Owes $1 Billion In Back Taxes    :banghead: (https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=warren%20buffett%20owes%20back%20taxes [/url)

I remember a time when a billionaire being in favor of a Democrat nominee would send chills up and down the backs of the primitives because that meant the party was selling out to the rich.

My, how the primitives have evolved into promoting the wealthy while crushing the downtrodden.

The primitives forget how my fellow Nebraskan ol' Warren makes his money.

He makes his money by buying up companies, cherry-picking the best parts of them, and tossing the rest aside, suddenly unemploying tens of thousands of hardworking people.

If that's not rapacious capitalist behavior, I don't know what is.

There are more billionaires for Hillary Clinton. They are globalists/internationalists.

Yeah, cyberswede is just another state employee and she doesn't understand the private sector very well. Buffet does, and he uses shell companies and the reason he pays so low taxes is that he never realizes any income on his 65 billion of dollars of investments and just hangs onto them. He is 85 years old now, what is he waiting for?

He thinks he can take it with him?

Reminds me of an old joke ...

One day, just before an old billionaire died, God told him that because he'd been good God would let him bring something with him to heaven. So after the billionaire died he showed up at the Pearly Gates with a bag of gold. The head angel-guard told the others to let him in, that God's orders were to let him bring it in with him. After the billionaire was through the gates and out of earshot, one of the angels asked, "Why did that guy bring paving material?"

No one said it was not allowed, just that every tax attorney thinks it is a stupid thing to do.

It gives Libs & Progs fits that Trump is too smart to provide the boat for their fishing expedition.

More importantly, what does Jimmy Buffett have to say about taxes?

That's pretty much what they accuse Romney of doing. Wonder what the difference is?
