So the latest bombing lunatic is a member of a family from Afghanistan who are pissed off that the neighborhood objects to the late opening and loud noises from the friend chicken restaurant? The city enforced the ordinances on them? Is that what I heard from Richard Engel??

2. Not much difference between the way these folks aired their grievances and trump supporters desires to express their rugged individualism.
1. That's racist... or something.
2. Yes, I recall all the bombings by angry Amish people pissed off that people laugh at their horse and carts on the highways...

5. Really, so it has nothing to do with the 100,000 plus Afghans we have slaughtered over the last 15 years?
Well, that's a relief.

10. He traveled abroad and came back radicalized
There really are radical Islamicists, and they really are trying to kill us.

11. I'm wondering how he was able to travel to Afghanistan. He is apparently a naturalized citizen. Aren't you required to surrender identity documents from other countries when you get citizenship and a US passport?

16. Hmmmmmmmm or he saw what we and our allies did to his homeland?
What I don't get is the collective failure to acknowledge the role and consequences of war and plunder.
Stop the fugging wars.

21. Don't know - the truth is that institutional racism and 'otherization' is always present
What's more what is sometimes viewed as 'otherization' my not be - like enforcing ordinances or shutting down a dirty restaurant - happens all the time to restaurants local and foreign owned.
On the other hand I have loads of documentaries showing me how Muslims have been treated since 9/11.
It's a fugging mess.
I'm curious about which Afghans were allowed to come to the US in the mid-90s. I'd love a breakdown on their backgrounds. The US has had a history of welcoming right wingers certainly from our hemisphere.

Must be hard for mal, living in a hell-hole so bad that the Islamic terrorists don't want to conquer it. Beyond that, some stupidity is so stupid that it only deserves to be mocked; this stupidity is so stupid that it doesn't even deserve that much respect.
