Hillary's 47% moment?
http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/09/politics/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-basket-of-deplorables/index.html
But the problem is that it is actually true. The people at his rallies are a bunch of hateful birthers. They constantly chant "lock her up". They like when trump says hateful things. But now the media will focus on this and kill her for it. The way they are going to focus on this, I wish they would focus on all the hateful things Trump actually says and tweets.

1. Not at all.
He has huge support among white supremacists and other ugly factions of the electorate. He can't disavow them because it's true, and she's absolutely right. She should bring this up every chance she gets to reveal his base for what it is.

2. We all know that his supporters are
A bunch of hateful racists. But the media and the Republicans are going to spin her words. They are going to say that she is putting down millions of hardworking Americans
The way that she worded it will get twisted.
Response to Proud liberal 80 (Reply #2)Good luck calling everyone racists etc.

3. I don't think the MSM will
but the fringe nut jobs like Breitbart will, and Trump will too. And his supporters will eat it up. But she wasn't going to win them over anyway, so she might as well hold them up as a snapshot of the kind of people who support him as a divisive wedge between them and the undecided voter.
And there are a lot of undecided voters right now.

5. unf
unfortenatly cnn this morning was showing the clip over and over agian. The media is going to make much more money off ratings if this race was closer then if it was a cake walk for clinton.

4. That could have been said a hell of a lot better
Directly insulting your opponent's supporters is not the way to go. Trump brings out the worst in people. Start there. Basket of deplorables? Now she has to explain why she still wants to be their President, too.
Really inept. Sorry.

7. Why use that phase as a subject line?
It does not feel right to use that line on Hillary.

The SHREW and her 2008 peeps were the original "birthers" That said, even as a stupid false stereotype that one's gotten irrelevant and moldy.

:lmao:Funny, that's the first thought I had as well when I read that. They do seem to think they are somehow swaying the public when in reality, anyone firmly planted in the real world looks on the DU in a manner not unlike visiting the circus.
They think that DU is the whole world.

I would argue that they do sway the public, if only a tiny bit--but not in the way they hope. :whistling:
