7. I realize it's speculative - but then, so would chalking it up to an accident or natural causes.
I lived in Mississippi for about 10 years, and I can tell you that while most Mississippians would never dream of taking out their political disagreements violently (and most of them are passionately political, all appearances to the contrary), there is that extremist 5%-10% who would.
And Catholic nuns have two strikes against them as far as Southern RW extremists are concerned: one, they represent a faith many of them don't even consider "Christian" (I kid you not); and two, they're often seen as "socialist agitators" because of their concern for social justice and the poor in particular - especially the colored poor.
This latter sentiment has intensified quite a bit since Pope Francis took office, courtesy of the good people at Faux News.
So, while we don't yet know what happened to these Sisters, we certainly can't rule out a politically-motivated hit. Least of all in this emotionally charged election year.

9. Sure
Nice little bash job on some nuns that were murdered.
Right-wingers hate nuns? Since when exactly?
Seriously, I do hope that both of them RIP!
As for pope Francis, why don't you leave him OUT of this nightmare. He does not have a role here.

Little known by the public at large if they haven't been paying close attention. They live risky lives, unless they are part of some anti-Vatican II group.

32. Suspect arrested
A suspect has been arrested in the killings of two nuns whose bodies were found in their Mississippi home Thursday, authorities said late Friday.

Rodney Earl Sanders, 46, was charged with two counts of capital murder "after an exhaustive interview" Friday night, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation said in a statement.
Sanders, of Kosciusko, is charged in connection with the killings of Sister Margaret Held and Sister Paula Merrill, both 68, who were found dead in their home in the rural town of Durant Thursday morning, the bureau

They didn't have much, and their car wasn't taken far. If robbery was the motive it would be in a chop shop by now. In any case Mr. Sanders hasn't been tried and sometimes when there's a lot of community outrage the wrong people are accused.

How do we know the RW is evil?
Because they would murder nuns.

They never tire of making jackasses of themselves.

That or a black man.
One more data point showing that it is 24 times more likely that a white person/woman will be killed by a black than the other way around.
Facts they are stubborn things....especially when black on white crime is proven.

From regarding the suspect (http://www.clarionledger.com/story/news/local/2016/08/27/man-charged-capital-murder-nun-slayings/89467046/):
Sanders was convicted last year of a felony DUI, said Grace Simmons Fisher, a spokeswoman for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
He was later released from prison and is currently on probation.
Sanders was also convicted of armed robbery in Holmes County, sentenced in 1986 and served six years, Fisher said.
Doesn't seem to have been much politically driven. Sanders poses quite a challenge for DU-folk who reflexively conjured up and blamed right-wing death squads. DU-folks' reflex, in the face of a disappointment like this one, is to flip their script and start blaming the victim(s). They've pretty much blocked that avenue by praising the nuns' work. My guess is that they'll go silent on this murder, and come out in full hysterical speculative cry when the next such murder happens (and be disappointed again, and again, and again, and ........).
I'm, obviously, "right-wing" and a Protestant. There are areas of Catholic teaching with which I disagree. But I know there are true Christian believers who are Catholics, and I regard them as my brothers and sisters in Christ. That said, f444 is correct in saying that there are Protestants who regard Catholics, as a whole, as non-Christians. A very prominent one, Jack T. Chick, comes quickly to mind. But killing a nun? No.

Escept whne it involves a police officer, particularly a white one, and a black criminal. Then it fine for the "community" to be outraged by burning, looting, and killing.
BTW, DUchebags, the black confessed so, yeh he did it. Another black man killed white women.

But some DU-folk will continue to insist the he might be a right-wing hitman, until facts force them to ... well ....... move on and wait for the next potentially politically exploitable incident. They won't say, "I was wrong," because it would be to damaging to their oppressor-victim oriented worldview.

Difficult to have death squads without guns. The left is more likely to have the fearsome keyboard disagreement squads.
