If they ever learn to speak English, we might be in trouble. They could move among us unnoticed.

So then. 'Rock The Kasbah' is the best film ever made. A Post In Which I Draw The Line.
Bill Murray is Jesus Christ Returned, we all knew that didn't we. But this -- this film --
I will tell you why.
I was in Kabul in 1970. Beautiful. So much Human, you would love it.
I was in Tehran, on the roof of the American embassy, where I watched a Peter Graves film.
Beautiful. Classic. The Vista. So many Humans.
I have kissed an Arabic girl. Her name was Jameelah Abuhamdiyah. She tasted like --
Beautiful. And Smart. I loved her.
This is what I will tell you: I have shared their food. They have been my best friend. They are so absolutely Human --
Beautiful Humans. Us. They are us. You may not see it, because Sheboygan is SO FAR AWAY. But they are Beautiful, they are Us, and we all need each other. Every Last Soul.
You know what I mean, you of this place. Separateness is an illusion, upon which feeds hatred and fear. But there is no such thing.
To many in Sheboygan, it's just a movie. To me, it's Jameela, and Danny Malik, and Nadim Nasir, and the Bedouin kids I got in a rock fight with, and made peace with, and ate their strange fruit in a T-shirt streaming with blood. They are full of love, and they are amazing.
There's a concept -- a saying, from someone somewhere -- every enemy is a friend you haven't met yet. Well, I sanction that, and more.
Good people are everywhere. And everywhere, they are challenged and beset on all sides by Trumplings. And you know Exactly of which I speak.
And we all need each other. And we are all Beautiful. And there will come a day --
When we shall overcome. And when we do, We will do it together.
And it will be Beautiful.
السلام. Peace upon us all, everywhere, all over the Earth, this very night.
I go to walk my dog now. And I will think of all of you.
Gorgeous Humans. Arise. Shine.

I thought that I was clicking on a movie review, but it sounds more like an alien manifesto from The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Humans of Earth, take heed.

I spent a magical year in the northern Sinai. I grok what you wrote. Beautiful people. The food, the music, the tea, the turquoise skies and golden ground....oh everything...never felt so at home, before or since. So so human. And wonderful.
I grok what you wrote?
Who knows how many of them walk among us?

You may get that chance again.

I'd gladly aid his semi-comprehensible nostalgia by chipping in toward a one-way ticket to Tehran.

They got Arab girls in Iran and/or Afghanistan? I smell :bouncy: , and possibly a not very good one!

Must not have executed any homosexuals that year. Or stoned a raped 13YO for adultery.

The northern Sinai is a sun-blasted cookie sheet of almost-featureless sand, unless you are actually right on the coast, in which case it's sort of like a beach but dirtier and you're surrounded by Gazan and Egyptian smugglers and criminal gangs, Egyptian cops who hate anything unusual in their AO (Like all cops), and occasionally-trigger-happy IDF patrol boats just offshore. Innocent sightseers don't exist because there aren't any sights worth seeing, and even the Egyptians and Arabs lay low all day between about May and October.

Are you suggesting fabrication on the part of "LiberalLoner"? (S)He might have been "lay(ing) low all day" with "byronius'" "Arabic girl" (unlike Iran and Afghanistan, there are probably many Arabs in the Sinai).

This. This is why you don't do drugs, m'kay. Drugs are bad, m'kay.

:lmao: :rotf:
Clearly the "grok" was a serious mistake, letting the mask slip.

I think that if the DUmmtard has even a shred of truth in the yarn, the idjit was either staying Eilat (Which isn't either really northern unless you start from Sharm, and only barely arguably in the Sinai at all), or was over near Cairo, or some place around Port Said which is also only barely and technically in the Sinai.

Acid trip would be my guess. :mental:

'grok' is a reference to Robert Heinlein's book 'Stranger in a Strange Land.' The main character was from Mars, and used that word, saying it was a Martian word for thinking... However there is clearly not much thought going on in these posts.
