What World Do the Freepers Live In?
I ventured over to the freerepublic this evening because I am an idiot. Most of them are saying things along the lines of "Clinton has spent tens of millions on ads and she can't even pull even with Trump in the polls" and "The polls show the race is tied, just wait until Trump finally goes after Clinton". We can also try to dissect posts about the "tens of millions of democrats backing trump" and the large number of "the Blacks" that support Trump but I digress.
Of course I can write a series of textbooks about why none of that is true but of course I won't bother. Perhaps I am trying to make sense out of pure chaos but I still have to ask, what world are these people living in exactly?

That's they're completely unable to understand just how stupid and hateful they actually are.
The entire right wing is that way. And it's not just demonstrated on FR, but every single other so-called "conservative" forum as well on the internet. We're talking about utter cesspools of racism, misogyny, hatred and stupidity that are full of trolls and whose lives are nothing more than shamelessly pathetic.
They're completely proud and feel completely justified to be so stupid and hateful. They all get on the net to show that shit off. Spewing slurs about minorities and women, showing off how little they know about anything at all, crying foul whenever they see President Obama do anything at all. Of course, they'll go into overtime trying to smear the soon-to-be President Hillary Clinton.
The next four years for them will definitely be a living hell. That puts a smile on my face.
The thing that you have to consider is their real purpose: They're bad examples. There's nothing redeeming about people like that at all. If you get them pissed off, them you must be doing something right. As far as anyone with any decency and common sense is concerned, it's simply an utter waste of time caring about those useless assholes and what they think, because they don't actually think at all.
Unlike your visit to FR, I stay away from their shitty forums and whenever I come across them in the other places where I normally visit, I ply my considerable skills at calling their bullshit out. My suggestion there is to have fun. Because, if you refuse to allow those freaks to make you as miserable as they are, then they're going to lose. Never forget that.
So, don't worry about going to them, there's enough on the net to where they'll come to you. And when they do, just kick their asses with a smile on your face. Don't ever give them the satisfaction of tearing you down. You don't need that, especially from a bunch of useless miscreants on the internet.

I don't have any confidence the meaning of the polls, either way. Everything depends on actual turnout, not general sentiment, and with an almost-unanimous press negativity to Trump and a massive level of disgust with Clinton, I don't think a very large percentage of people want to honestly tell a pollster what they really think. I am not saying that Trump is actually ahead and the polls are suppressing it, I just don't have any confidence in their accuracy and relevance.
