I dunno if anybody else noticed--probably not--but the big guy's been missing in action the past several days.  I guess we now know why.  Sort of.

We are in the middle of a family emergency that started on the 14th.

I thought he was on his death bed.

He is but he keeps getting up.

Whenever he disappears I just figure his dementia time warped him back to the pre-internet days

The store ran out of mini tacos?

The store ran out of mini tacos?

My theory is this:

Since the big guy promised everybody his demise was imminent, so as to get ready for her life after Steve, poor dear Marta started window-shopping around, for a potential second husband, preferably one who'd take care of her, instead of her taking care of him, as has been the case in the Dawes household the past forty years.

She probably looked too longingly at some guy, and the big guy's now having a cow about it.

You know, he's disappointed his wife for 40 years, and now he's managed to drag this entire forum into it with delaying what we've all been eager to witness. A mini taco coffin would be pretty great and Marta wouldn't be out much if it were made like a piñata...and used like one
