Very interesting stats.

http://www.mythdebunk.com/us-3rd-in-murders/

From the link, the top 7 nations with most murders are
Brazil:  50,108
India: 43,355
Nigeria: 33,817
Mexico: 26,037
Democratic Republic of the Congo:  18,586
South Africa: 16,259
Venezuela: 16,072

America is eighth.

3. America is at 4.7 murders per 100,000 people

Canada, where I live, comes in at 1.45 murders per 100,000 people. Many of us Canadians like to attribute that to stricter gun control here, but that's not easy to prove empirically.
Canada is more homogenous than America. Also, the population is smaller.

FUN FACT 1: Take out the murders by blacks and we are right up there with Finland.

FUN FACT 2: A white person is 22 times more likely to be murdered by a black than a black person murdered by a white.

There is some kind of trend that the democrats, msm, hollyweird, and the elites of our country just cannot put their super intelligent fingers on.

I doubt these figures are even that low for most of those countries. The governments probably understate for political, business, and tourist reasons, and they may not have the resources to recognize and count all the murders that happen.

And whose bright idea was it to have Brazil, the worst country in the world for murders, host the Olympic games?! And if the human killers don'y get you, the bacteria and viruses in the water of some aquatic events might! There is no stupidity too profound that PC cannot deepen it!

They're not.  The US figures include suicides as homicides, IIRC.  The rest don't.

"Many of us Canadians like to attribute that to stricter gun control here, but that's not easy to prove empirically."
It certainly isn't easy to prove, considering that Chicago also has strict gun- control laws, and yet their murder rate is the highest in the country.
