REALLY PISSED. Saw Young Supposed Ex Marine With 9MM Glock In Local Restaurant.
We thought my wife left purse in local restaurant in Northglenn, Colorado. While talking to the manager saw a young 20 plus someone with what looked like a loaded Glock handgun strapped to his waist. I asked the manager about it and they seemed to support the idea.
It was apparently a steady customer who comes in armed all the time. This restaurant is frequented by families with a lot of children. WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY!.
I am a Vietnam vet and loaded weapons are more dangerous when they are carried around all the time. More people are killed by accident than in self defense. If you are in a defensive position during a violent event you are already lost. Look at how many trained police are gunned down and they are armed.
I AM JUST SO GOD DAMNED SICK OF THESE SICKOS. AND I AM NOT WILLING TO TOLERATE THEIR INSOLENCE.

You have so many instances of close stand offs with weapons raised and nobody fires. In the real world both parties would have long since discharged their weapons.
A violent media is not problem if citizens have difficultly getting weapons (see Japan).

You cannot negotiate or confront one of these idiots on the spot. I say something to the manager who seemed ok with it.???
And the restaurant was crowded. We were there of a lost purse issue which came out ok.
I believe that we need a national campaign that will notify open carry business that they risk losing business unless they ban guns on their premises. Perhaps "Common Sense Moms" or other national group can start circulating petitions or printing pamphlets informing the business community and private organizations to ban hand guns or arms on their sites.

I live in a city where it's against the law to carry guns openly. It's also stupid. Too frequently the penalty for open carry is sudden death. If the cops don't shoot you, the gangsters will.
More guns never improve a neighborhood.
One of my neighbors foolishly brought his gun to a nearby fast food place, perhaps expecting an argument with someone he was meeting there. Employees of the fast food place called the police who stormed in minutes later and shot our neighbor dead. Guns made a bad day worse.
One of the scariest moments of my childhood was watching my mom disarm a fool. She was so pissed off with him she broke his gun. He was screaming he was going to sue her and other such nonsense, but he never did.
My brother used to own a dive beer-and-sandwich place. He had some encounters with armed people, robbers and others looking for trouble, but the only weapon he had behind the counter was a big aluminum softball bat.
I've never been able to imagine what sort of person I'd shoot, therefore I've never had reason to carry a gun.
It's my experience that the bad guys shoot first and then it's over. Sometimes the bad guys think they are good guys but they are mistaken. Once the guns come out in anger everything is FUBAR.

This is some of the stupidist shit I have ever heard. A loaded weapon will not do SHIT, if you follow Jeff Cooper's big four rules of gun safety:
1. Treat every weapon as if it is loaded.
2. Do not point your weapon at anything you do not intend to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger unless you are on target and the weapon is off safe.
4. Know your target: what's in front of it, behind it, and to the sides of it.
Weapons are a tool, the only way to gain proficiency with any tool is to USE IT. Knowing that you are the primary safety on any weapon makes a huge difference as well.
This idiot needs to put on a fresh set of depends and quit wetting himself at the sight of a gun. What... A.. P#$SY!

The thing that sucks, from a Lib/Prog POV, is that, "None of your business!" is an entirely sufficient and appropriate response. A gun owner carrying in compliance with the law is not obligated to explain why (s)he is exercising their legal right.
I wonder whether the bluster from "maxsolomon" and "hunter" is just empty puffery or if they really are so stupid as to provoke a situation where they would not, after some point, be able to control their own actions, let alone those of the law-abiding citizen they are antagonizing.
As for the angrily hostile & hateful TMN, his words don't ring true in some way. If he served during and in the Vietnam War, I doubt he was in ground combat. I'm a life-long civilian, so take that opinion with a block of salt; I could be entirely wrong.

I open carried this morning, for breakfast at a local roadhouse and to walk around the farmer's market and buy some bacon.
Velvet and I traded smiles and "howdys" with several good and decent people while my S&W rested patiently on my hip. It didn't leap from the holster and go on a rampage, or use a Jedi mind trick to make me mow down coffee drinkers or vegetable-buyers.
And... (double trigger warning for lurking DUmmies)... I wasn't the only person carrying openly at the farmer's market. I had a very pleasant discussion with a fella who was carrying a Remington 1911 in a nice hand-tooled holster. What lurking DUmmies fail to understand is the simple idea that "holster=good".
Note: No cops jumped out of the bushes, and there were no conversions or applause from the gallery. Zero bongs.

I think we are all selling TheMasterbator DUchebag short. This DUmmy must know far more than all of combined about pistols. For me, It would be hard for me to determine if the pistol was a 9mm, 40 cal, or 45 cal without close inspection. Also since I have no majority polymer weapons other than a tactical 500, I would not be able to tell the manufacturer without close inspection. The wanking DUmmy probably is a amateur gun smith with decades of experience.
