This is your candidate, Republicans.
After a GOP convention filled with liberal, Socialist ideas, such as cradle-to-grave big government care, the end to the “culture wars,†which means a push back against religious freedoms, now the new face of the Republican party is taking another step left (see here: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/trump-proposes-10-federal-minimum-wage/article/2597805).
Donald Trump said Tuesday night that the federal minimum wage must be raised, and promised to implement a $10 per hour wage if elected president.
"I would say $10," Trump told Fox News host Bill O'Reilly when asked about the specific figure he would recommend. "But with the understanding that somebody like me is going to bring back jobs. I don't want people to be in the $10 dollar category very long. I believe it should be raised."
Trump is laying down this proposal in response to Democrats, who have said he wanted to lower the minimum wage.
Not to be outdone by his liberal pals, Trump is pretty much blowing up everything conservatives and small government proponents have stood on.
The billionaire businessman said he would use the federal wage as a base and encourage states to implement their own minimum wage that is higher than the $10 figure. But he also said some states need higher wages while others do not.
"If you take New York, it's very expensive to live in New York," Trump said.
Republicans, you had one job…

What a shame. Well, at least electing him will drag along enough votes to keep the house and senate in republican hands and this bullsh$ "guaranteed inflation bill" will never make it past committee. I thought he was supposed to be a financial genius? Even I know what happens when you do something like this

I wouldn't bank on that. "Never underestimate your enemy" and all that kinda stuff. . .
Trump is simply too used to speaking his mind -- even when it's his version of the truth. He's a NY liberal -- which makes the title of this article rather disingenuous when they're suggesting that Trump was a conservative to begin with.

Yeah, I pretty well knew this stuff was going to happen. :whatever:
Promising "stuff" and complaining about the debt at the same time is democrat playbook.

This is your candidate, Republicans.
I have only one question: Is the following still a true statement?
2) I have already said that I will have to end up voring for him in order to try and keep Hillary's signature OFF of my DA Retirement Certificate.

I have only one question: Is the following still a true statement?
Yes why?
If you think that because I made that statement means I have to STFU about his flaws you're fooling yourself.
You failed with the gotchas before I left...you're not doing much better with them upon my return.

Yes why?
Because I was curious.

I'm guilty of neither of those things, Sarge. And, quite honestly, you and your attitude can go **** yourself.

Aww did I hit a nerve?

No, you didn't. What you hit was my limit with your stupid lashing out at any question that dare strays from your own narrow narrative. What you are doing is dumb, and I'm done with it.
So, man to man, senior NCO to senior NCO, I'm relatively sure you know the tone and spirit of "go **** yourself" and what it means in that context.

You tried this crap with cherry picked quotes a couple months ago in a pathetic attempt at a gotcha.
You failed.
The first interaction you have with me is to pull up something I said two months ago in a thread I started critical of Trump.
You were trying for a gotcha again...and again you failed.
You Trumpkins are the ones with the narrow narrative and complete lack of tolerance for anyone who doesn't kiss thenring of Orange Jesus.
You've put all your hope in a fraud and you're too scared to admit it.
Now unless yove got anything intelligent to say about the OP...which I doubt being a Trumpkin you do...from one Sr NCO to another since you want to play that rank game like a douchebag...why don't you run along and play a nice game of hide and go ****youself.
This election is too important to deal with drones like you.

No, I didn't. I was looking for consistency amongst my peers with regards to general elections.

My guy was Cruz.

My posting history says otherwise.

No, I was giving context to my remark, as equals, figuring you might understand that it wasn't done in a fit of pique.

With the amount of friends and supporters you have managed to alienate here, and at CU, consider myself among them.

I have only one question: Is the following still a true statement?
Well, I know I'm going to vote for him. It's not like I have an actual choice or something.

Trump said he supports a gradual minimum wage hike to $10. As for the eventual minimum wage, he stated AGAIN he'd leave it to the States to decide. Since if I recall correctly the minimum wage is over $8 already, not sure what exactly the grand hullabaloo is all about??
We nitpick when the major issue is how we're going to get the jobs repatriated. Donald does have a plan outline, beginning with lowering corporate taxes and our personal ones as well. Dunno about the rest of you but I consider the injection of fresh ideas to solve our mounting jobless numbers essential to our national security.

As soon as Trump said "I want to see an increase to $10/hour", the "leave it to the states" argument flew out the window. He's not running for King of All The States; he's running to be chief executive of the Federal government.
The Federal minimum wage is $7.25. An increase to $10 will increase unskilled labor cost by 33%, and will result in increased labor cost of $2.50/man hour at all wage rates.
Businesses will have three options:
1. Raise prices to account for increased labor costs.
2. Reduce the number or hours of employees.
3. Some combination of 1 and 2.
Employees who get that raise to $10 will soon find out the things they spend money on cost more, and they are right back where they start.

AHEM, the Constitution reserves to the STATES all rights and obligations not specifically enumerated in the foundation document. Since Donald said he wants to leave minimum wage regulations to each State, BECAUSE a decent standard of living is economically diverse based on local costs, I fail to understand exactly HOW he's running as a King of all States, but am certain you will enlighten me.
Dude, Dog, WTF ever, just know nothing would induce me to vote for a guy polling under 10% with no chance of doing anything other than perhaps sabotaging my grandson's future. And not so incidentally helping a Homicidal Hag Hacked Hore (going for alliteration here) actually be rewarded with a presidency instead of a residency in some prison cell like she deserves.

So, you don't vote for "right " or "wrong", or even "good or bad". You vote for "popular", just like 6th grade class president. Got it.
If Donald Trump every says the word "liberty", I'll give him credit for it. If he ever says the words "Tenth Amendment", I'll give him credit for it. If he ever says "separation of powers" or "enumerated powers", I'll give him credit for it. Until then, you're projecting, just as the DUmmies project their hopes and dreams onto the Lightbringer, their own "great man".
And a vote for anyone but Hillary doesn't count for Hillary, the same way that vote for anyone but Trump doesn't count for Trump. Free your mind from mental slavery.

Jesus H TX. I realize ive been gone a while but what the hecks up with you? You are as shrill as a ron paul supporter these days. Seriously. Do you really think trump will be worse than hillary ****ing clinton? Or remotely near bad as her or the last eight under president jughead? Dude you need to take a breath because this shit isnt healthy for you. I say that as someone who has known you online since '05 or so. The people you are lashing out at are NOT your, not OUR enemies. Blue on blue soldier. Check fire and reevaluate man.
