I now hope that a rogue IRS employee will leak Trump's tax returns
I hope some IRS employee does it.
Obama can always issue a pardon to the employee in January.

2. I just had that same thought.
If I were Obama, I would instruct the IRS to cease any audits against Trump at this time.
I know that wouldn't ever happen, but it would be damn amazing.
You want a President to control that?

sure, trump's returns would be embarrassing, but he'd get sympathy from people who hate the irs.
the story would be how the irs can't be trusted, about the trial of this irs employee, about the endless republican congressional hearings, and about republican plans to gut or abolish the irs.
trump would probably gain more votes than he loses.

Interesting. These equine anuses strain every legal gnat and go inventive when they think the law supports their POV and peeps. But when it's some one they hate it's EFF the law! No surprise, other than they are saying it openly.
And "unblock" is probably correct, as to how the desired act would play out. I guess his lack of principles is mixed with a bit of pragmatism.

So it really wasn't about the enemies list or misuse of the IRS.

So I assume you'll also be A-OK with it when it's your turn to have some government toady releasing all your private info to the general public, then.
Because you know that sooner or later the dreaded Rethugs will be back in power instead of the 'Rats, and they might just find the actions taken by their predecessors of using their government power to crush their enemies to be highly 'instructive'.

I am too. They're just right out in the open with it. Except for one, they never think of blowback, payback, or consequences. This "rogue employee" they're thinking of may go to jail, leaving their families behind and ruining everyone's lives. They're apparently OK with that. Full grown people sitting around daydreaming about this kind of shit.

When Lois Lerner was being (rightfully) grilled about the audits of conservative 501c3 organizations, it was revealed that a good portion of the IRS is left-wing. They would have released Trump's taxes in a ****ing heatrbeat if they showed anything that was even remotely illegal.

I have these weird memories of some IL D pol whose opponents in a couple of cases were forced to drop out due to the leaking of sealed court records. I think he current lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC. So I think your analysis is correct that if there were anything worth leaking in Trump's tax returns, it would have been leaked months ago. Also, Trump has probably been in continuous IRS audit since 2009, and probably during most/all of the Clinton years. He's lived with a target on his back for a long time, where the IRS is concerned. So I'm sure he's been VERY careful, for decades.

I never want an IRS employee leaking a tax return. That's a damned dark road to go down.
Keep the pressure on Comrade Trump to release the returns.
I'm still waiting for Barry to release his college transcripts.

My SO has no Idea!
I have B.A. in Communications from MSSU. But I lost my copies of my transcripts due to the tornado and my flash drive with the electric copy getting stolen at a shelter. I have become delinquent in the payments of the loans due to no job since May 22, 2011. To get the transcripts I have to contact a clearinghouse and set up a payment plan. According to them I must get a paycheck so they can use the numbers on it to start to take payments off of it or my bank account number ( I don't have a bank account).
My SO keeps showing me jobs in my field and is yelling at me to apply. "Stop wasting your education" he says. Those jobs want copies of my transcripts. I can't give them what I no longer have. It like he is putting salt in a very open wound. He won't listen or understand. For now all I can do is pray for one of the fast food or clerk jobs to call. I am hurting so bad and he just won't stop and see what is going on.
So many are in a very similar boat right now in this country. It is a catch 22 for so many, need proof of education to get the job they are trained for, but can't get it due to not working and going delinquent. Thus, can not get the paperwork to change things.
And I am sure they to get to hear it from loved ones. But it still makes you feel alone in this world.

Not only that but some lib IRS employee would lose his/her career and spend a number of years in prison. That don't matter to the dummies though... as long as they get their objective in the end.
