All righty, I'm stuck at work for the next 9 hours. Then I don't know what I'm doing. I'm thinking possibly a nap will be in order.
Oh and God cranked up the heat, it's supposed to be 105 today. :(
Anyone else out here have actual good plans for today?

My wife and I are taking the girls to the Playhouse Disney Block Party in Philly. A few of the Playhouse Disney Bands will be there, and there's a lot of stuff for the kids to do apparently.
Fun will be had by all...

I'm planning to head to the computer store to pick up some DVDs so I can back up some files. I'll spend a couple hours installing Linux. I have no idea when the Sitemeter problem will be fixed, and I've been planning to install a new OS anyway. Might as well do it today.

I'm already back from the dedication ceremony for the new sign the county installed near the new Walgreen's. Who says you can't fight city hall and win?

This is a photo of Marc Fedders, the county commissioner's step-son, being the first one to cross after the ribbon cutting.
A pancake breakfast followed in the Walgreen's parking lot. Free chest x-rays were available.

Today, we actually have a social engagement. For us, that's a big deal (we are quite the hermits). We are going over to a friend's house for the evening for a mexican food feast. Should be fun.
No football, baseball or dance today....that's rare!!

Well, I brought my cross-stitch project to work today, so maybe I'll get a bit of that done today. I'd like to mail it out this coming week.

I walked to my sister's house this morning (2 miles). It was bloody hot out. We picked up our co-op stuff and now I'm sitting in my apartment waiting for the Cox man to come out and set up my high speed internet.
I'm one of the last remaining people alive who still use dial up. But not for long!
Tonight is my family's monthly Wii Bowling Tournament. I still have a small lead but not much.

Yes, I was working on my cross-stitch for a bit, and then paused to eat lunch and now I'm entertaining myself with a gossip rag. :)
A side note, people who bring screaming children or children that run around and act like monkeys to a car dealership should die a slow and painful death. That is all.

Well my opinion is that if you're going to spend $20,000+ on a new car, hire a f-ing baby sitter. Seriously. Buying a car is the most boring thing on earth. No kid wants to be here.

I got halfway through my 1st cuppa this morning and was wading through a bunch of auctions I had closing on eBay when the "Job" phone rang. I went On Call last night for a week. Single family fire south of here. Got halfway through the shower when the freaking phone rang AGAIN! Simultanious single family fires about three blocks apart.
I just got home about an hour ago.
Tired and hot and I smell like a fire in a gym. :p
On a plus note nobody got hurt, they are all in nice air conditioned hotel rooms and I am finally getting my 2nd cuppa joe here.
My wife took the kids to the state fair today to give me some time in a quiet house. :whatever:

An apartment complex I used to live at caught fire and burned up an entire building and singed another. I was driving through the area at the time and it STUNK. You could smell it for miles around. Nasty.

Well, I'm finally home after 9 hours of work. I'm pretty much done with my employer, and this college. I'm making plans to visit the Medical College of Georgia sometime this fall. I'm going to get my own apartment if I end up transferring there. :cheersmate:

I'm back from a terrible ordeal. One of our citizens, Miss Myrtle Crape, didn't know about the new sign near Walgreen's. She plowed it under trying to pull her Toronado into the parking lot. It wasn't pretty. Myrtle blames the county. The county blames Myrtle. I wanted them to taze her. She's a bitch anyway.

I met the Imagination Movers, Dan Zanes, and Ralph from Ralph's world. They rocked the under 10 set at the Playhouse Disney Block Party. The girls got autographs on their t-shirts. Later, My wife and girls took me out to eat at Jon's on South Street, the birthplace of Larry Fine. Larry, of course, was one of the Three Stooges. It's one of my favorite restaurants.
The day turned out pretty good.
