Have the Republicans crossed the line with their charges that Hillary "should be in jail" ??
Is it common in political discourse to accuse your opponent of being a criminal, when there are no outstanding criminal charges? Is this a recent phenomenon?
Is this dangerous for a society? Is it slanderous? Is it criminal, in itself, to make such accusations without proof?
Of course, politics "ain't beanbag", but it's really not that simple, is it?
Couple of quotes:

Today I was in the checkout line at the supermarket and the "scandal sheets" were saying much the same thing!

I see the bluegrass primitive has already forgotten how he and his fellow primitives behaved, along with several prominent Dems, during the years of 01/2001 and 01/2009.

In fixing kt's "devastating" post I think I both answered his "questions" and deflated his inordinately high estimation of his intellect and nuance. The latter will reinflate quickly, of course.

The complete lack of self awareness is jaw dropping at times.
There is hardly a day that goes by when you DUmbfuks are not calling for your enemies to be thrown in jail.

Yes indeed, Carl. From the very thread.

Nobody on the thread has the slightest glimmer of self awareness.

Did we hate W and Cheney this much?
Yes, we protested the illicit war and called them war criminals.
But, it was because of what they DID. Lying us into war.
But, so many Goppers just seem to have an irrational hatred for Hillary that goes well past politics or policy positions. I have family members that are normally quite calm that go into a cursing red faced tirade just at the sight or mention of Hillarys name.
It goes beyond sexism.
I think a lot of the Obama hatred was just pure internalized racism.
But, with Hillary, it is as if they take everything in their lives they don't like and project it onto her.
In other words we hate and wish death but for good reasons.

2. We hated Bush and Cheney for what they did to our country and the world
The republicans have hate in their heart. They have had that hate for Obama for 8 years based on deep rooted racism in this country and they know of no other way after the hate filled propaganda provided by the republican leaders.
It just breads more hate and it consumes people.

6. One big difference
We hated what Bush and Cheney did to us. That hate Clinton for whom she is.
In other words, rational, fact-based outrage vs. irrational hatred with no basis in truth.
The definition of delusion.

10. Yes I hate them
*picture of a dead child*
This little boy died running from a war caused by ISIS and w & Cheney made ISIS
w/their Iraqi war. And BTW I helped out a neighbor who has died from brain cancer
he got when in the Army in Iraq.
They need to be jail for what they did.

Alas, it is the nature of flaming gasbags to re-inflate.
That notwithstanding, I still enjoyed your takedown of kentuck's screed, despite its inevitably transient nature.

Notice they confess they hate. They make it clear without any doubt.
The best they can do with conservatives is *claim* they believe we hate.
No comparison between admitting one hates and vainly attempting one can speak for others.

It's as recent as DUmmies impotently demanding Bush be "frogmarched" in front of a Dutch court while they pretend to be judge, jury, and executioner in front of their keyboards.

So wasteful.
Just use a single question mark, and answer the questions you yourself ask. Here, I will show you how:
Are you a complete moron?
Yes, you are.
See, that is not so hard.

Why are Republicans supporting Donald Trump?
Can they really not see that he is a vulgarian?
Can they not see that he is a pathological liar?
Can they not see the danger and the threat of having him in the Oval Office?
With all the choices they were offered, why did they choose Trump??
Were they really that pissed off at the Republican Party?
Is it obvious or is it just a matter of perception?
Do they truly love America but simply do not realize what they are doing to our country?

6. The Republicans in my family are voting for Trump for several reasons:
1) Hillary - Whitewater!
2) Hillary spends a lot of money on her clothes, and yet Ivanka Trump's dress was only $125 and look how much better she looks.
3) Mexicans!
4) I hate socialism.
5) Donald Trump is such a good businessman.
6) Donald Trump will keep terrorists out of our country.
I swear, the stupid is dripping off of them.
Confession: I'm right now actively not talking to my husband. An Obama supporter, he said he's voting for Trump. I'm f'n flabbergasted. I said, "Why?" He answered, "I don't like Hillary."

Let me see if I can help phylny by translating forher her family's ideas:

6. The Republicans in my family are voting for Trump for several reasons:
1) Hillary - Whitewater! The SHREW is possibly one of the MOST corrupt candidate for the Presidency the US has ever seen. Her corruption goes back to the 1980s, at least, and has been unabated ever since.
2) Hillary spends a lot of money on her clothes, and yet Ivanka Trump's dress was only $125 and look how much better she looks. The SHREW is a phony - a "woman of the people" who wears articles of clothing whose cost exceed real, normal, people's monthly income.
3) Mexicans! Trump recognizes that illegals are a massive drain on the US economy, take entry level jobs that young people would otherwise use as their entree into the working world, and, in some cases, are a severe threat of terrorism.
4) I hate socialism. Various implementations of Marxian Socialism have been the most murderous political philosophy of the 20th Century, and the more innocuous forms forced stagnation on many countries' economies. So, what's not to like about Socialism?!
5) Donald Trump is such a good businessman. The SHREW has zero experience with the real world of business, and views businesses as infinitely milk-able cash cows.
6) Donald Trump will keep terrorists out of our country.Trump recognizes their threat, and would actually try to keep them out; The SHREW would do neither.
phylny's family is so much smarter than her that I think she's unqualified to call any of them stupid.
