EGG MEET FACE: Liberal Media, #NeverTrump Accuse Donald Trump, Jr. of Plagiarism; Charge Refuted by Speech Author
Liberal media outlets and Never Trump activists thought they really had the Trump campaign this time. A passage of the speech given Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention by Donald Trump, Jr., tracked remarkably similar to an article by George Mason law professor Frank Buckley.
It turns out that Buckley, a known Trump supporter, was one of the authors of the speech. :hyper:

Let me preface my comment with two things: I am not a Trump fan (or non-fan); one of the things Trump has excelled at - at a near genius level - for nearly a year, is playing the MSM's hatred into millions of $$ of "free advertising".
Speculating wildly, what are the chances that this was an intentional trap for partisans in the MSM and the Lib/Prog punditocracy and commentariat? To make them look silly and expose their partisanship? Further, what are the chances that the "plagiarism" in Melania's speech - 4 or 5 sentences in a far larger context - was intentional, to lure MSM-folk, et al, into this trap?
It's a total WAG (Wild-Ass-Guess), but I think Trump & team are easily that crafty.

Trump probably concurs with the quote:
"I don't care what the newspapers say about me as long as they spell my name right." ~P.T. Barnum

Trump probably concurs with the quote:
It's been interesting and amusing to me to observe how Trump has played the MSM's knee-jerk reflexes against them, and I'm not sure - to this day - the MSM-folk have a clue as to how deeply and long they've been played.

If Trump does win it will be interesting to see how he plays the media for the term. The MSM will be in full Bush mode, going after him non-stop 24/7.
