Democrat Rep. Hank Johnson thought that sending more Marines to Guam might make it tip over and sink, but he seems like a pretty smart guy compared to congresswoman Corrine Brown. Watch here as Rep. Brown offers "gradulation" to her beloved Florida Gators:

Now she's in trouble for running a small scale Clinton Global Initiative style scholarship fund.
ONLY $1,200 FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
The indictment says more than $200,000 raised for One Door was spent at events that Brown hosted or were held in her honor. The indictment mentions money spent on a luxury box for a Beyonce concert and a box for a game between the Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The statement from prosecutors said, “Despite raising over $800,000 in donations, the indictment alleges that One Door was associated with only two scholarships totaling $1,200 that were awarded to students to cover expenses related to attending a college or university.â€

U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown and staff chief indicted; each faces prison sentence of more than 350 years
Source: Florida Times-Union
U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown has been indicted on federal mail and wire fraud charges following a lengthy investigation of a bogus scholarship fund that made vast sums available for personal use. Her chief of staff, Ronnie Simmons, also was indicted.
Brown, 69, faces up to 357 years in prison, a fine of up to $4 million and three years of supervised release. She pleaded not guilty on all counts.
Simmons, 50, faces a maximum of 355 years in prison, a fine of up to $4 million, three years of supervised release, and the assessment of $1,900 in special fees. He too pleaded not guilty on all counts.
The 24-count indictment unsealed Friday accuses the two of conspiracy, mail and wire fraud, theft of government property, filing false tax returns, concealing material facts on required financial disclosure forms and obstruction. It focuses on the charity One Door for Education, the subject of a January Times-Union report and a series of stories since.

3. hmmm. and, of course, her sex and colour and political affiliation had NOTHING
to do with the indictments.
Nothing. Her only hope is to claim she did it without intent.

Assistant Attorney General Leslie R. Caldwell of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney A. Lee Bentley III of the Middle District of Florida, Special Agent in Charge Michelle S. Klimt of the FBI’s Jacksonville Division and Chief Richard Weber of the Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) made the announcement.
“Congresswoman Brown and her chief of staff are alleged to have used the Congresswoman’s official position to solicit over $800,000 in donations to a supposed charitable organization, only to use that organization as a personal slush fund,†said Assistant Attorney General Caldwell. “Corruption erodes the public’s trust in our entire system of representative government. One of the department’s most important responsibilities is to root out corruption at all levels of government and to bring wrongdoers to justice.â€

Personally, just hearing her talk makes me want to throw her out an airlock. If I had one, that is.

a box for a game between the Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars.
That might be an even bigger waste of money than seeing she-hulk in concert, what a waste, even if it were legal.

How did she get elected? seriously? :o
It was painful to listen to her. Dang!
-
She got elected because of the gerrymandering for her district. If you saw the way it was laid out, it looked like a crooked snake running from Jacksonville to Orlando making sure it hit every black community.

The Dems don't work that way, it's about partisan loyalty, following orders, and solidarity with fellow corrupt Democrats. There's a reason there seems to be a crop of great young smart Black women Republicans, and that's because there is no place for them in the DemonRat party and they're smart enough to have figured that out, and have also figured out that life on the DemonRat plantation has destroyed the Black family in America.
