Title: My Very Real Concerns with Donald Trump
Post by: NemoNeem1221 on July 06, 2016, 10:04:05 PM
I am a registered Republican, a proud American, and concerned for my country.  I am a Christian in seminary, working to become a pastor.  I love God and my fellow man.

And I'm voting for Donald Trump because Hillary Clinton cannot admit the truth from her mouth.

That being said, I am VERY concerned that Donald Trump is going to ruin America with his attitude.  He says racist things, mocks people, and is known to lie.  He is not a true conservative.  He is also a con artist.  So I completely agree with the concerns the Never Trump people have, as well as mainstream Republicans.

I can give Trump credit, however, he BELIEVES WHAT HE SAYS AND MEANS IT!

I can respect a person who speaks what is on his mind and believes what he says.  That makes him genuine.

Then, there are videos like this that make me cringe, thinking I am voting for this guy.

As a Christian, that action is morally reprehensible, and he shouldn't represent our nation!

I am in a bind.  Hillary Clinton cannot be trusted; she is a snake like Satan, and she doesn't care that she put our national security in jeopardy.  At least Trump is genuine.

Had to get this off my chest.  Thank you for bearing the runt of this raid.  I hope to enjoy myself here.

It's going to be either Trump or Clinton.  I have more faith in our system of 'Checks and balances' keeping any transitory nuttiness of Trump's in line, than I do in it restraining a corrupt yet incompetent megalomaniac witch, which an entire political party will act in lockstep to protect, no matter how excessive her transgressions.

Exactly.  Don't discount the effect that Trump's sons and daughters will have, albeit tiny, on tempering him.  Chelsea Clinton will cheer her mother on in whatever she does.

Not to mention how the media will enable and protect her!

IMHO, I think you've adopted the right attitude. I don't believe much of what Trump is saying, I think he's an outright con and I know full well he's not as conservative as he needs to be for *my* liking. That being said, i'ts him or the hildabeast. I've reluctantly made my choice... because there is no option. I mean, if I have to jump out of an airplane without a parachute and my choices are to do it at 1,000ft or 2,000ft...

And that is the attitude that will keep some "neverTrumpers" being neverTrumpers.  Great idea just keep rubbing salt in the wounds. Trump can't win if you piss off a lot of the republican base.

I keep hearing Trump says racist statements.
I want to see a direct quote to that effect and not something taken out of context.
It's not racist to build a wall.
It's not racist to say Mexico sends their worst countrymen and women to the U.S.
It's not racist to say illegal immigrants rape, murder and commit violent crimes against U.S. Citizens.
It's not racist to want to ban Muslims.
What exactly are you attributing to Trumomthat is racist???

There are some that go over the top on the insults, I didn't take this one in that manner, it is the raw truth.
In fact, those aggressive and rabid types that you speak of are the reason I'm here. I was a regular at another popular conservative forum for many years and I left because of the rabid Trump supporters. You can't even say the sky is blue over there anymore without someone screaming "Trump is going to make it better and you suck if you disagree". I came here because I can actually see something else besides Trump and so far, none of them have went on a belligerent tirade. I mean, I'm not the delicate type by any means, but a guy gets real damn sick of that baloney.

It's funny to me about "the racist talk", when his wife is a "legal" immigrant, his daughter is married to a Jew, quite a number of his supporters are Black, Asian, Mexican, Muslim. I guess they just hope the lie sticks.

You don't seem to be too concerned over at CU. Matter of fact you seem pretty gung ho for Trump.

And a good part of the establishment not in that party, too.

Well, if someone can't face a bare fact without blushing then they probably had no intention of voting and were just going to throw away their vote as a meaningless, insipid "protest vote" (= vote for HiLIARy).  These are the kinds of people that would remove all their teeth after getting a bad meal so they never get a bad meal again.

Sore winners are often far worse than sore losers. There has been plenty of evidence on this board.

What does a winner have to be sore about?  :lmao:

Eh, I have to agree with thundley to some degree. Hell, watch a Democrat win the oval office to see a perfect example of sore winners. The left along with their sycophants in the MSM typically hound the loser and sometimes his family for months before finally settling down.

That's odd.  I watched his speech and he did endorse conservative Republican candidates.  That just happens to leave out Trump.

It's a simple mistake anyone could make.
