Attorney General Loretta Lynch is expected to announce later today in Aspen, Colorado, that she will follow and accept whatever recommendation the FBI and career prosecutors and investigators make regarding whether to bring charges in the Hillary Clinton email probe, a Justice Department official told ABC News.
Lynch has decided that she will green light whatever recommendation comes from the FBI and senior career lawyers in the Justice Department, after a months-long investigation tied to Clinton's use of a private email server.
This comes just days after the revelation that Lynch met privately with former president Bill Clinton during a chance encounter on the tarmac at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix earlier this week.
Both Lynch and Bill Clinton have insisted the meeting was completely "social," focusing on grandchildren, golf, travel, the Brexit vote, “and things like that," as Lynch put it.
Wonder what this all means.

Wonder what this all means.
It means she wants the press to stop talking about the meeting with Bill Clinton on her plane. When the heat is off she will go about obstructing justice again.
-
So, if FBI Director Comey recommends prosecution and Lynch accepts and goes ahead with that recommendation, can Obama overrirde them or is his only option to issue a pardon like was done for Nixon?
-
and since the FBI is under the jurisdiction of the US Attorney General, we all know how their recommendations will go...

Comey is a republican and I've heard nothing bad about him from anyone.
That being said, I've wondered why the investigation has been taking so long.
But, if you were going after the biggest fish of your career and lifetime, wouldn't you want to make sure every I is dotted and T crossed?
Then again, what if Bill's meeting with Lynch was to cover his own ass and throw Hillary under the bus. They are both partners in crime when it comes to the investigation of the Clinton Foundation.
Maybe Bill offered his testimony for immunity? :-)

Much more likely is that Comey recommends not to prosecute. Say what you will, he's a career political appointee. Lynch can then shitcan the whole investigation.
Unless he's replaced by a very vindictive Barry Oblamer, he's locked into his FBI Director gig until 2023. As a lawyer who has prosecuted the Gambino crime family, Martha Stewart (securities fraud? -- really??) and some other notables, he can basically write his own ticket.
But the FBI Director gig puts him in high places much of the time. Very attractive for a 56-year old young puppy.

I have little doubt Lynch has told him she will go by what he recommends and btw this is what you will recommend if you know what is good for you.

Then there will be about 50 FBI agents turning in their resignations, and at least one of them will leak the evidence to a sympathetic media outlet. Then the fun--and PR nightmare--for both Obama and Clinton begin.
The thing is, someone threatening the FBI? That's what you're suggesting. Even the Soviets didn't do that and remain untouched.

Politically-based threats happen all the time -- especially with political appointees.
Comey is NOT career FBI. He's a ****ing lawyer.

"despite President Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s clear orders to deploy military assets, nothing was sent to Benghazi, and nothing was en route to Libya at the time the last two Americans were killed almost 8 hours after the attacks began."
So an FBI directive to indict will somehow never get to the AG..........Clinton walks.

Toldja.
Hillary skates again. :argh:

Now we know that she knew for certain what his recommendation was going to be.
