When I was a little girl I had a favorite pair of green "Her Majesty" underwear that I wore all the time. My Mom would joke that I wore them so often and sometimes it was so difficult to get them off me that she wouldn't be surprised if they could stand on their own when I finally would take them off. I'm pretty sure I said something about it here not too long ago. Anyway.....my uncle use to call me "Her Majesty" as an inside joke.
Then I had a pretty bad car accident in high school (not my fault). He started calling me "Crash and Burn".
On the way back from my brothers funeral my mom called me. They had left about 45 minutes ahead of us and she wanted to know how far we were. So she asked me what mile marker we were at. As I was looking for the mile marker I said to my mom, "how often do they have mile markers?". She sat there for a minute and laughed and said, "ummmm oh about EVERY MILE".
I knew she was going to tell people and she apparently told my Uncle. She was talking to him today and he asked her how "Mile Marker" was doing.
I kind of like it....Mile Marker.

When I was in San Francisco a few years ago with my BFF, we were sitting in Golden Gate Park taking in the sights. I looked at her and asked "hey, what kind of birds are those?" She looked at me and laughed and laughed and said "sea gulls."

Don't get too cozy with it. There was a girl in my high school who had a similar nickname. She got it because, at an average of 6" per date, she'd probably been traveled about a mile.

Kind of like I embraced the slogan you gave me when I was voted "hottest chick". You told me to embrace it, and that "my hotness transcended gender". :-) :-) :-)

Well, it's better than "skid marker".
True...
My Mom said that she had talked to my uncle again and he said, "You did so well with Julie, she has turned out great. You taught her her colors well but you need to work with her on her numbers". It took my Mom awhile to get that he was talking about "Mile Marker". I literally will never live this down.

Tell your uncle, "That's Ms. Mile Marker to you!"

Many years ago my wife was working the registration table at a small convention. A lady walked up to her and asked if all the concurrent seminars were held at the same time. :thatsright:
