Title: poll: how often do the primitives.....
Post by: franksolich on June 23, 2016, 11:39:06 PM
How often do the primitives know what they're talking about?

I was startled this past evening, to see that the referendum in the United Kingdom today was a hot issue on Skins's island; I and most other decent and civilized people were aware it was coming up, but it never occurred to me that the primitives would know enough about it to try to discuss it.

And course they can't, really; they don't know excresence about the issues involved, and so all they can do is clutter Skins's island with vacuous statements signifying.....nothing.

I will say however, given the recent primary discussions on Skins's island, the primitives supporting the Nominee Certain probably know a little bit more about things than do the Bernie bullies.

But as a general rule no, the primitives have no idea what they're talking about when they talk; all they're really doing is yimmer-yammering and angrily wiggle-waggling their armpits at each other.

Very rarely.  Very, very rarely. :yahoo: :whistling:

Very rarely. Even a broken clock is right 2 X a day. Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn.

There are a few that I think are not moles that can grasp certain realities but they are very rare.

I realize that the worst of the worst of the worst get brought over here (and I don't wander over there - their forum SW is like a flashback (drug slang intentional) to some quite unpleasant memories - but the ignorance, non sequitors, and looniness I see regularly from DU are so jaw-dropping that I've worn out several chin roller skates.

I said very rarely due to the broken clock thing and all.  And, there was one comment over there that replied to the outraged and depressed "LeftistBrit" DUmmie, something like:  "The British people didn't want to be ruled by technocrats in Brussels who were not accountable to the voters."

They know a lot about gaming the systems to get SSDI and eating kale but not much else.

True, but ... DU-folk are such charter members of Obtuse-niki Are Us that they can see - some of them - that remote "technocrats in Brussels" would govern without the British people's best interests in mind (if not be hostile to those best interests), but cannot (will not) see that DC-based lawyers, bureaucrats, and activists would similarly be oblivious or hostile to the interests of American business people and workers.

Here's a DUer who occasionally makes sense as well:

Here's why 52% of British voted to leave

Well, for starters the working classes highly resented that the EU mainly benefits the corporatists, banksters, and other assorted elites and bureaucrats. Sound familiar?

And it's just a fact that the EU was sold as a simple trade organization that has grown into a large undemocratic political organization with strong hints that an EU military is to follow.

Xenophobia absolutely played a part in it, but don't forget that people vote in their own self-interest.

The working class resents the fact that the British are told by the EU how many benefits migrants are owed upon arrival in Britain. This is one of the issues that Cameron has supposedly "negotiated."

The working class resents the crowded schools and overworked National Health Service brought about by an influx of immigrants (and a conservative government).

They resent numerous little things that we don't think about.

The working class resents that migrants can qualify for council (government) housing, while they remain on a wait list.

And the middle class resents that they can no longer get their foot on the bottom rung of the housing ladder due to a severe housing shortage.

The list of resentments against the EU is long! This is not just about xenophobia. While Labour party leaders were pro remain, labour party members voted leave!

I'm afraid that the EU just doesn't have the appeal to the working classes that it does to the upper middle class. Everyone I know in Britain (I lived in England) was hoping to retire in a little village in France or Spain, or even in one of the poorer EU countries where their pensions would have gained them a higher quality of life. Even if they never left, it was always going to be a dream.

The working classes can't afford to up and move. They won't have proceeds from the sale of their house to buy them a "little cottage" in the French countryside. They see no reason for borders to remain open. They aren't going out; all they see are more people coming in. They don't care if they will have to stand in line at border control; they can't afford to travel, anyway.

These are not petty issues and they are multiplied many times over
what I could type.

And, again, they resent the ridiculous bureaucracy of the EU.

"The EU is poised to ban high-powered appliances such as kettles, toasters, hair-dryers within months of Britain’s referendum vote, despite senior officials admitting the plan has brought them “ridicule”.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/05/10/eu-to-launch-kettle-and-toaster-crackdown-after-brexit-vote2/

The bureaucrats in the EU can't help themselves. Even with the Brexit vote poised to take place, they were continuing to show how out of touch and petty they have become.

If this is a divorce, the EU did much to provoke it, and now they've got to figure out how to break up while still maintaining the peace for this millennia.

She didn't get many replies, mainly one who said "we'd better pay attention to this!"  Nobody wants to hear it.  Now I'm surprised it wasn't higher than 52%.

Ah yes, the loutish Brit primitive, who's been on Skins's island since forever; it doesn't surprise me that he'd be in the "remain" camp, as he's always on the wrong side, especially the wrong side of history.

6. Meanwhile in political reality

Trump: Yes
Sanders: No
Farage: Yes
Corbyn: No

The vote broke down largely among ideological lines - racist white people butthurt about immigration, yes, everyone else, no. Sadly everyone else couldn't win the turnout battle. Also Remain won with young voters by a mile, and was supported by the most liberal sections of the UK (in fact Scotland is probably leaving the UK over this).

Stop carrying water for fascist ideologues in the guise of supporting the working class..

9. Don't you think stuff like this

The working class resents that migrants can qualify for council (government) housing, while they remain on a wait list.

And the middle class resents that they can no longer get their foot on the bottom rung of the housing ladder due to a severe housing shortage.

is good reason to be upset? We ignore what happened yesterday at our peril.

20. The point is that they're blaming these problems on POC

instead of other political factors.

33. THEIR point is

that migrants get government housing that the citizens have to wait for. You don't see a problem with that? I happen to think GB cut off their nose to spite their faces yesterday but to ignore the real issues is not smart.

39. That's usually cover for human tribalism, I don't see an issue with that if there's no critical mass

... of it happening to the point that it hurts the avg Brit.

Not fair but may be right looking at who it helps vs who it hurts

They are so religiously obsessed with marxist collectivism delivering them freebies that anything which proves it is wrong has to be dismissed without consideration.

If I were a primitive, and if I were smart, I wouldn't lock horns with the leftynyc primitive.  I'd go away quietly and look around for a different primitive to argue with.

I agree, Frank.  Lefty is also vocal about Islam.  He/she is no apologist, and does not back down.  Here's the link to the thread from TexasMomma.  It's a pretty good read.

Agree with BSS and Thundley.
But I didn't vote in protest of the poll not being right and proper.

I picked very rarely.  Sometime a stray Dummie will get it right. Could be a mole.  Most of the time you can pretty much guarantee that if a dummie tells you A, then B will be correct.

I got a new money making scheme for the dummies. They could be stock pickers. Whatever they pick, short it.  I bet one would win more times than not.  Throw the dummie enough to keep them in weed and you would have a gold mine. Downside would be you would have to listen to the dummie and quite possibly be in close proximity to said dummie.  Eeew.

DUmmies know a lot about pot and how to scam disability, so I picked "very rarely".

The polls are missing due to a conspiracy between The JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS and our hosting service.
