Worker fired after refusing to serve customers who were Trump supporters
A Cook Out worker was fired after an interaction with Donald Trump supporters that had Trump fans calling for a boycott of the legendary fast-food chain.
Last week, Shannon Riggs and her cousins were turned away from a Cook Out in Colonial Heights, Virginia, when they showed up in Donald Trump shirts and hats.
According to WTVR, an employee yelled, "Hell no! I'm not serving them" after spotting the family in their Trump apparel.
The group placed their order but didn't receive their food, so they eventually canceled their order and had their money refunded.
"Once you witness discrimination firsthand, it's a totally different experience," Lauren Wolfrey, one family member, told WTVR. "I was in a state of shock."
The incident prompted outrage on social media, with people calling for a boycott of the fast-food chain.

In a statement, the company said the employee that refused service and was rude has been terminated citing a violation of company policy.
This kind of thing is happening a lot lately...
A month ago a tow truck driver in North Carolina refused to tow a woman's car because she was a Bernie Sanders supporter. And in Colorado, a landlord even made a point in the advertisement for an apartment that he wouldnt rent to a Trump supporter.
Politics is getting divisive and nasty in this country.

Don't you think so?

I saw a thread here or on CU, but didn't comment. IMO, if a restaurant wants to refuse service for something like that, that's their business choice - a foolish one, but theirs to make. In this case it's unclear whether the store manglement was aware of what (s)he did. It may be that (s)he hid what was done by taking their order, but @#$%-canned it rather than taking it to the kitchen.
Anyway, corporate reacted, after a lot of bad publicity. Reluctantly or willingly, who knows? I hope that little tantrum was worth losing a job, and maybe becoming less employable (who wants to hire as a server some one like that?!).

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not outraged; I'm amused by their hypocrisy.
Fast food companies have seen that people other than liberals spend money. Trump may not be a conservative, but he a a lot of vocal followers. Corporate decided firing the stupid bitch was the wise choice.

.....we could give them the next level of the Doug Bulna treatment. I bet that would be fun!
Most restaurant chains senior management don't give one damn what politics their customers believe in. They want that cash register to ring. Some fool worker peon pissing off a customer, for whatever the reason, is not going to be tolerated.
I hadn't heard about this story and now that I have, I don't give a shit one way or the other. Sorry to disappoint the dump. It is typical of the dummies. They think we get outraged at the same stuff they do.

The "Doug Bulna treatment"--I like that.
Speaking of- has anyone seen or heard from ole Doug lately?
About once every three months or so, I nadin around for a possible obituary.
Nothing yet, unless he changed his real name.
Every time he gets close, some Good Samaritan rolls him back out into the ocean.

"It's an ongoing investigation, but we have some very strong leads," he said.
Authorities do not believe the threat was related to Gearhart Chevrolet's operations, but they're investigating whether the threat was against one of the employees, the captain said.
"It doesn't appear to be an unhappy customer," Nigro said.
