Thanks y'all.
It has been a real pleasure and honor serving as a host of this group. As of this afternoon though I am stepping down from this role.
Skinner's continued attempts at amnesty and unity are only making things worse here. Perhaps he knows this and doesn't care? Perhaps he does care? I don't know. I am not a mind reader.
But this I do know. When an OP that calls Sanders supporters insane and in need of psychiatric care is allowed by both hosts and a jury to stand, and my post telling one of those in that thread that agree with this sentiment that they are low information voters is hidden then I know now once and for all nothing is going to change.
Nothing magical is going to happen on Tuesday. Nothing magical is going to happen on the 16th either. Sanders and we the people are going to fight this all the way to the convention. The left is too divided this primary season. The establishment Democrats are too scared or unaware or both to know this. We don't have two candidates that are basically the same corporatist neoliberals like we had in 2008 with Clinton and Obama. We have instead two candidates that could not be more opposite in their policies, history, or positions. FDR progressives versus neoliberal New Dems.
What is insane is doing the same thing over and over and over again expecting a different result. The future of the left is with Sanders and his supporters. The youth that support him in such high numbers are our best chance in the immediate future to wrestle back the Democratic Party and the left from the finalized encroachment of conservatism in the form of neoliberal and DINO's. Sanders is an outgrowth of the Occupy Movement. So many thought we were gone. We are not. We have only just begun.
DU used to be a place, whether it intended to be or not, where the progressive underground discussed, debated, and fought against conservatism whether it was in or out of the Democratic Party. With Clinton sycophants here, this is no longer the case. Entitlements are now 'free stuff'. No more new taxes and hooray for insurance mandates are the mantrams now.
DU was once a place where the majority of the members were against neocon illegal invasions, the surrendering of liberty for security, and the privacy of our citizenry. With the Clinton syophants here, this is no longer the case. A blustering neocon foreign policy speech about terrorism and the Russian threat while surrounded by more flags than I could count is the new normal here and this is cheered on as somehow 'strong' and 'presidential'.
DU was once a place where social justice was actually discusses, debated, and fought for. Now identity politics are used by Brock puppets to smear the progressive left as sexist, racist, 'Bernie Bros', while a candidate with an actual history of civil rights activism and support is rat****ed. The same voices calling for a president because she has the right body parts are the same ones that told the gay community to not be all uppity with Obama in 2009. The same white Clinton supporters crowing about the black votes she try to justify bring us to heel and putting down BLM. These people and this candidate are not our friends. They will give us lip service to wrangle our vote. They will give us false promises to insure our support. And like most Americans, we willingly accept their lies and given them what they want.
DU was once a place where we did care about the law and transparency of our government. We cared about the shenanigans of Bush Co, their illegal wars, the outing of CIA operatives, etc. Now, we are told we are insane for caring about a SoS who ran a dark homebrew server off the books in her ****ing home. We are told we are praying to the 'indictment fairy' because this behavior was illegal, inappropriate, and unprofessional and if not punished, at least don't allow the person who did this to have MORE ****ing power.
I watched the episode of House of Cards today where Francis and Claire were both chosen at the convention to be the presidential and vice presidential candidates. I watched the nastiness behind the scenes and the manufactured consent on the stage. This metaphor is reality in this election primary if you have the balls and will to see it.
Sanders' revolution is the future. JPR will become the new home of the progressive left. DU and the Clintons are the past.

Well, all I can say is good riddance to bad rubbish.
The problem here being, after the dust is settled and the primitive gets bored with life on other message boards, he'll humbly seek re-admittance to Skins's island.
And Skins, being the nice guy he is, will let the primitive back in.

Read that thread and tell me how they have been victimized by Clinton supporters; how Skinner's amnesty has allowed Clinton supporters to mean TO them; how his hides are for just swearing, not vile posts.
More like he/she knows their days are numbered under that name, big public goodbye. A new poster will rise out of the ashes, but you can't hide that kind of venom for long.

Bash and trash on Hillary....just one of a number of people who joined DU, got into a primary, and one of two things must be true:
1.) Unlimited time and obsessed with hate for Hillary (personality disorder? anti-women? anti-gun control, who knows?) in some kind of extreme way. Even someone who preferred Bernie would not post thousands of posts to attack a political candidate unless emotionally extreme.

2.) A paid operative or troll of some kind; representing a RW group or political organization with the intent of creating havoc and disrupting the leading Democratic support for Hillary. It's a job to go online every day and attack. It would not matter if one represented Bernie or some other candidate that had no chance to win, as long as they take down Hillary.
There's no other logical reason for such behavior. If you were really an extreme Bernie fan, then volunteer, make phone calls, GOTV, or head for the local Bernie campaign office.
There have been a bunch of these high-number posters in GDP. Some have stylized formats with almost professional links and clips. They sometimes drop 3-4 lengthy OPs at odd hours of the night or within 5 minutes time. Very few people could really do all that research themselves. I know that I followed a bunch of links and sources from one of the suspects and traced it back to the staff and recent graduates of a college newspaper who represented a RW group.
DU would be better if such disruptors were banned, but for whatever reason that has not been the case. It seems easy to spot the extremists.
Once Hillary wins, we'll see some of the operatives disappear. That may be a clue they were not really Democrats to start with, so the swan songs and suicide notes will appear!
But then the Bernie bullies'll be back. Wait, watch, and see if I'm not right.

Don't feel so singled out; billary supporters are just as insane and in need of psychiatric care as are the bern-outs.

Since when have libs cared about gov't secrets being exposed to the world? As far as you're concerned, if this brings the USA to its knees that much sooner, then great! You pretend to care about a lot of things if it's to your political advantage, until someone with whom you agree violates it, then it's not a big deal or it's part of a VRWC. So please, cut the "she gave away State secrets" nonsense. You want that kind of stuff to happen.

And if they succeed, the USA will no longer really be the USA (as Dear Leader has taken us closer to that reality already), and it will be a country whose life will be very short as it will not be a country worthy of existence.

I think this break is PERMANENT. Like the Great Schism of 1054 between the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches. And the issues now involved are a bit more serious than whether to use leavened or unleavened bread during the Eucharist.
