That's it.
A promotion. Being a professional civilian, I dunno how big of one, but I hope it's a big one.

I was curious and did some research on the rank of Technical Sergeant. I thought this was still a thing, but wiki says it was retired after WWII. I could have sworn I saw one being interviewed on CNN during the Gulf War while Wolf Blitzer was busy hiding under a school desk.
-
Technical Sergeants still exist in the Air Force. Grade level E-6.

Yep. The Army and Marines have roughly-similar enlisted rank structures, but the Air Force does things entirely differently. Just about any enlisted rank in USAF that has the same name as an Army or Marine rank is actually one grade lower than the Army-Marine version. Paradoxically, the officer ranks mean the same thing across all three (Except that being a non-pilot USAF officer affords approximately the same status as 'Contract minimum wage sanitation worker').

I congratulated Snugs in the soooper secret forum, but congrats again!
