Besides Sanders, which other candidate in history has been so far behind.....
(767 delegates out of a total of 4763) and refuses to admit he lost?
I'm trying to think of any recent presidential nominating contest in the last 60 years where someone as far behind as Sanders with so few states left is still claiming he can win. Can't think of any candidate that has done that.
My theory is that he has a long history of funneling campaign cash to his family and friends, and he is making that ridiculous claim in order to grift more donation money from dumb people so he can keep funneling the cash to Jane. Jane did the same when she controlled that college's money (before they fired her).

3. He has a history of funneling campaign cash to Jane
And yes, it has been reported over and over again. That is his history.
As for your delegate count, even without the supers she is beating him by 17%. He is not even close.

6. John Edwards, who was the single worst VP choice in history
Harold Stasson
Alf Landon
Pat Paulsen
Ron Paul, who in 10 times was zero for 5380 in possible electoral votes
John Edwards was also a product of Tad Devine like Bernie is.
Maybe Tad gets paid extra like a superstar hitter in baseball, who has it worked in their contract that for every inning they play in, after a certain number, they get another $thousand dollars.
who do you think Tad Devine will work for in 2020? He is now 0 for 8.
(note- of course Pat Paulsen was running a comedy satire campaign and not a serious one)
The Democratic primary season was over the week South Carolina voted.
Yeah.
Methuselah's family, just like the Bernie bullies, is a rather avaricious lot.
How.....unsocialistic of them.....

Honestly, history is no benchmark, thanks to the 'Peculiar institution' of Superdelegates. The actual effect of this bizarre bit of antidemocratic chicanery is to leave the decisive balance in question if there is a contender who is carrying a large minority of states. It really could result in Bernie being the nominee, if he stays in until the bitter end and in the unlikely event that Hitlery ends up indicted on felony charges before the DemonRat convention. Her commanding lead relies on delegates that have made a (Completely reversible) pledge to support her, but are in fact legally obligated to do so and can turn on her like an Italian government.
