The gun issue is YUGE in rural white America..
Much of my family comes from Appalachia..Though we have lived in Iowa the last 40 years.. I am in contact with family constantly.. They have known for the past 30 years the coal industry is dying.. these are not stupid people, it takes so few to mine now.. its a great excuse to cover up something that people do not want to recognize.. its guns.. and the NRA has done such a number in nearly all rural areas.. Its a Us vs Them mentality.. that goes to the bone..right to the bone..
Hillary will not do well in "many" white rural areas because of her stances on guns..
It drives people crazy..these damn guns..they think that it is the only way they can protect themselves.. the fear of the unknown is palpable..
This is not saying there is not racism involved..oh yeah there is..
But that gun issue.. Its beyond anything I can even describe or understand.. a shaky fear of having their guns taken away..needing more and bigger guns..
I bet most of your family has been committed to a mental ward at some point.

Geez! The dude should crawl up the steps of the NYC or Chicago city hall, licking every step, and apologizing for having been born in a rural locale! DIS! GUS! TING!
This hurlingly citified fool needs to learn that while, in cities, "When seconds count, the police are just minutes away," out in rural areas that becomes, "When seconds count, the police are just 10s of minutes away!"
Being that condescendingly jerky should be painful!

It's certainly going to be a huge driver for Trump voting even among people that are otherwise luke-warm at best to him, they KNOW how bad Hitlery and her AG will be on that topic. And as far as rural goes, they also know her EPA Director will be just as big a land-grabber as Obama's. They may not be sure what they're really going to get with Trump on a host of issues, but they know it can't possibly be as bad as that witch getting back into the White House.

I'm constantly surprised at the people who put this issue at the top of their list of importance. The widespread fear never ceases to amaze me.
"Obama is trying to take our guns" is spouted constantly, and when they are asked how it is that he's doing that, you get dead silence or some idiot answer like "well, ever-body KNOWS he is"!
Here's how, you dumb shit:

1. Do you know why the tooth brush was invented in West Virginia? Anywhere else it would have been called the "teethbrush."
2. The only fear I notice is the fear of guns from the left. We all know what Freud said about the fear of gun.
3. It is not "gun violence." It is "black males aged 12-55 violence." Can't fix a problem until it is properly and non PC defined.

As a member of "rural, white America", gun rights are "yuge" simply because you people keep forcing the issue. The safe act is still despised around here. If you hadn't forced it down our throats, there would have been no issue

I'm guessing Trayvon Martin (The boy who was a known drug addict, almost certainly a burglar, had innumerable suspensions from school, and had a known obsession with violence) will be portrayed as a sweet, innocent honor student and model citizen in the play, and George Zimmerman (The mixed- race man who did indeed seem to act in self- defense based on the evidence that has been made public knowledge, and who up to that point had been known for tutoring and mentoring black youths and for raising public awareness/ outrage over the brutal beating of a black homeless man in the area by a white cop's son at a time when most people were ignoring it) will be portrayed as a psychotic, bloodthirsty, lily- white, camo- wearing redneck who just wanted to kill a black person.
