Title: I Was Accepted! Food Stamps!! Yaaaa!
Post by: mrclose on May 06, 2016, 08:33:29 PM: I have read so many threads on the subject about snap benefits that I decided to find out the facts.

I am 65 years old.
Retired from a professional career.
Have over $600,000 in a 401k retirement plan.
I live with a friend of the opposite sex who owns the home that we live in.
(That is a story for a different time.)

I told my 'social worker' that I paid $500.00 a month to the lady of the house for rent.
I told her that I contributed $400.00 to the electric and water bills.

Now, mind you .. NONE of this was asked to be proven with receipts or acknowledgement from my 'Friend'!

ALL of it was taken on my word!

I own a $45,000 automobile and before medicare is taken from my SS, I net almost $29,000 a year.

Now, I don't know if this is a mistake because I received the approved letter yesterday and wont be able to check out the fundamentals until Monday!

I WILL tell you this though ..
It was only an experiment of mine .. checking out if everything I have read was true or false!

I WILL NOT be using the $120.00 snap benefit!

Before I went on this fact finding search, I consulted with my attorney/neighbor!
He checked every fact that I submitted on the forms and .. I am safe from any prosecution .. Even if I were to use these benefits!

I TOLD THE TRUTH!

I don't understand any of it!

I got to wondering about all of this when I read about a million dollar lottery winner who was still on food stamps!

The office was filled by mostly liberal democrats. I was put in that position without any training so I found a copy of the Federal Regulations. When I started rejecting applications because they lacked adequate proof of eligibility, they started lining up at my office door complaining I was "keeping the poor from getting on the program". I pointed out the regulations (I even had to show them the page for each regulation that needed proof) but they said I wasn't adhering to the "spirit" of the law. :thatsright:

The main office said I wasn't giving them enough work to do (they were the ones who comb through the apps for meeting eligibility and send them back for proof) :lmao:

Yeah, democrats want hand outs and democrats in charge of giving handouts want to give it to them regardless of eligibility but they are costing taxpayers billions.

Democrats = waste.
