Trump The Pandering Douche Bag opens by promising to open up the coal mines again!
Yeah...like, that will happen. As usual, he knows it won't happen, but who cares about reality when you're Donald Trump?

2. "There will be so much mining, you'll be tired of being underground getting black lung!"
"You are such great miners! You love mining! You love dying of black lung and having mines collapse on your head! It a beautiful thing!"

5. It's stunning that people believe him.
Idiocracy.
^^^now, that's funny, being said by an Obozo fan.

12. He said that again tonight...but differently...
He said (paraphrasing, not actual transcript); "Why don't miners all just move? Because there are no jobs in America, no place to move. I'll bring all those jobs back! We'll have so many jobs you won't believe how many jobs we have!"
Pretty close to the actual quote.

That's not pandering, it's called domestic energy policy.
Now if you want to talk pandering, eating a taco bowl on a made-up Mexican holiday with a picture of your ex-wife in a bikini as a placemat... THAT is pandering. Get it right, loser.

Ummm...yeah...
This week, Clinton is campaigning in coal country and she was confronted by laid off coal miner Bo Copley for her comments. Naturally, she responded by saying her comments were out of context and that people were misusing her statement.
You were saying Atman?

Like I posted in the relevant Mind Numbing Stupidity forum thread:
As usual, fact-checking is a foreign concept to many Libs & Progs (http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2016/05/05/donald_trump_was_reading_a_people_magazine_profile_of_marla_maples_while.html) The pic of Marla Maples is from the May 2, 2016 issue of People magazine, in an article about Marla Maples titled, "Life With Trump". So, yet another Prog tried to mountainize an anthill.
You can't rely on Prog news sources or ProgBloggers to check facts when people they hate are their targets. Even a moderately close glance at Trump's silly pic sufficed for me to recognize that the pic was in a magazine-like publication, not a full-size picture of her. And a minute or two with Google was all it took for me to learn that the pic was in People magazine's current/recent issue article about Marla, a picture chose by her or the magazine.
Hopefully, if DU folk haven't already discovered this photo some one could post it to see how long it takes for some DU member to discover that the ProgBlogger posted a stupid.

As for "reopening the coal mines", to a large degree the government side of accomplishing that is within the authority of the POTUS. He just needs to call off the Bureaucratic Werewolves of the EPA!
I take it, though, that Atman is trying to smokescreen and divert attention from :thatsright: Tsaritsa CHILL's foot-in-mouth ( :runaway: up to her thighs! :runaway: ) gaffe about shutting down coal mines. :thatsright: Hello! :thatsright: United Mine Workers union! :thatsright: Affiliated with the AFL-CIO! :thatsright: :thatsright: :thatsright: Talk about industrial grade stupid! :thatsright: A significant factor in Carter's loss to Reagan was his MALAdministration's alienation of unions, especially the Teamsters, who endorsed Reagan. :thatsright:

Yeah. Her 'Market forces' were actually Obozo's EPA shutting down all the coal-fired powerplants, not an actual free market at work.

The Lib/Prog view of companies that shut down or are bankrupted by government regulations is that those companies should never have been in business to begin with, and thus there is no loss to the economy or the former employees (unless they don't get on government social program assistance, which is, again, their fault).

Obama The Pandering Douche Bag opens by promising that all Americans will have good paying jobs and that he'll defeat terrorism by diplomacy!
Yeah...like, that will happen. As usual, he knows it won't happen, but who cares about reality when you're Barak Obama?
Fixed.
BTW Pedro, where was this post back in 2008?
Poor Pedro.

Ya know, I think a part of BHO seriously believed that the terrorists would be charmed by his charisma and placated by his being a POC (to borrow DU's acronym) and sympathy toward Pali Arabs and Muslims generally.

I read a blurb that it is less expensive to use NatGas for fuel than coal. Not by much but pennies add up. The thing is that NatGas release less CO2 but much more methane. Methane is an order of magnitude worse as a greenhouse gas. I have to research this more. But it makes sense because every thing progs do is wrong. If true, trust me when the progs kill coal, they will be looking to kill NatGas and oil. They want a serfdom and the removal of cheap energy is a large leg of that stool.
OAN, didn't every green energy government funded thing Obama did go bankrupt? Yeah, every single one.

I agree, and H5. At least that's how he set himself up. If he did this knowingly, knowing that there's no way that the Islamists would heed the word of what they consider to be an apostate, then . . . we head into murky legal waters.

Do we, really? Worst you can say about that scenario is he duped the DUmmies into believing his shtick, not that it was criminal. There's no truth in advertising requirement for political campaigns.

9. Hillary handed it to him gift wrapped.
Trump could not have asked for more from Hillary.
You got that right, and the political tone-deafness still shocks me.

3. Coal mines have closed because they can not compete with gas or reknewabes.
I found that misspelling so annoying. WTF?
