She does not. Yes, she could blow it. She's not a terribly adept campaigner. The collective wisdom of the American electorate is abysmal. Far, far more republicans have turned out in the primaries than democrats. Everything that is old is new again, and by that I mean trump will dig up all the old scandals for a new generation unfamiliar with them- things like Marc Rich, for example. If she moves too far to the right in order to get republican votes, she risks losing a chunk of the base and liberal independents. She can't get too far into the muck with him- it's the wrestling with pigs problem. Sexism. Yes, the endless email shit.

I'd like to believe that there is no way this country could ever elect the talking yam.

I expect anyone who has used the word 'Patriarchy' in a serious internet post this year will vote for her, as well as those dependent on public assistance and those relying on corporate welfare such as 'Green energy' to fatten their bank or trading accounts.  Sane and/or actually-productive people, not so much.

Would that be the same world that greeted BHO in 2008 and 2009 as if he were a 21st Century Messiah?

Would that be the same world that awarded BHO the Nobel Peace Prize before he had been in office for a year? With ZERO accomplishments?

I'm underwhelmed by the world's opinion of US politics.
