Welcome to California, Mr. Trump.
Welcome to California, Mr. Trump.

Trump exits the Hyatt just as he entered; through back door and over freeway barrier to awaiting motorcade.

Donald Trump got a small dose of his own medicine on Friday when he had to cross over a wall to avoid large protests at the California Republican convention in suburban San Francisco.

1. Trump wasn't breaking the law by renting out a facility. There's no justification for yesterday's

behavior. Destroying property is not freedom of speech. Criminal behavior can never be justified. The Republicans will have a hard time reuniting before the general unless the foolish actions like we witnessed yesterday continue.

11. I have no problem with exercising First Amendment rights. I have a problem with violating the

rights of others in the process. Trump rented out that facility and had every right to use that facility yesterday. If you don't know that arrests were made and property was destroyed, then you haven't bothered to follow the story. Authoritarianism is unjustly taking away the rights of others. The protesters were the ones doing that yesterday.

Welcome to the gulag.

12. A fascist has no rights

We should all stand with the protesters in denying Trump anywhere he tries to speak, this goes beyond free speech.

13. So nice of you to think you're so omnipotent as to decide who has rights and who doesn't.

You're the one that sounds like the Fascist IMO.

This surprises you?

19. Your candidate denies the activism of the People and claims only Republicans do the right thing:

"It may be hard for your viewers to remember how difficult it was for people to talk about HIV/AIDS back in the 1980s and because of both president and Mrs. Reagan — in particular Mrs. Reagan — we started a national conversation, when before nobody would talk about it, nobody wanted to do anything about it, and that too is something I really appreciate with her very effective low-key advocacy. It penetrated the public conscience and people began to say, hey, we have to do something about this too."

So of course you side with Trump against the protesters just as Hillary sides with Reagan against ACT UP and other LGBT AIDS activism groups. At least your cohort is consistent in that.

20. Democracy is a bitch sometimes

especially with the right to redress for grievances. At the point in question, it's like one injustice in exchange for another. No?

24. Awww...

... but you're not looking at the big picture. Can you think outside of the box?

Leftist logic: I don`t like what he says so I am entitled to do exactly that I accuse him of.

14. Criminal behavior can NEVER be Justified?...

Unjust laws are changed by people who break them

Of course this has nothing to do with Trumps circumstance

I am just challenging your statement

Or you could be shot.  :hyper:

30. I was there--you are wrong.

Trump didn't rent the venue, so you are wrong off the bat. It was the CAGOP convention. They were not his guests, they are Republican convention goers.

The street is public property, and that is where protesters were protesting. We have every right to protest in the street.

If he wanted to deliver his address from the top of the limo, no one would have stopped him. He chose to sneak around like a rat because citizens were exercising THEIR civil rights.

Did the CPUSA send you, Michelle?

Yep.  And they would be calling for the protesters to be shot for violating every statute in both the state and federal code.

No matter how the San Diego Rich Girl wants to spin it, the rent-a-mob failed. They failed to research the venue. They failed to scout out the locale (it's right by US 101 freeway, how hard is that!). They failed in their purpose of preventing Trump from speaking. And the Trump-Haters are an ongoing failure, because their violence is creating sympathy for Trump, and a wedge Trump could drive between The CHILL or The Bern and some of their more vociferous supporters.

And even if Trump had to enter through the kitchen, it's a fail for the Trump-Haters, because he had a chance to greet the kitchen staff!

I clicked on the link, most of the way down was this:
Quote
Eye-catching: Demonstrator Rebecca Marston holds up a bullhorn as she chose a topless protest calling on a ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. She was joined by another scantily clad woman calling on 'Drumpf' to go, echoing John Oliver's joke

Why are the feminista types always the ones that should keep their tops on...and maybe add a hood? Well, at least the one pictured looks like she shaved her pits.

Most feminista types would do well to be in full burqas.

Starry Messenger is one of the biggest communists over there, and whew, what a dog she is.

Event he LA Times is wringing its hands over the protesters.  Throwing rocks at cars, looking like a prison exercise yard, carrying all those Mexican flags.  They're worried about a backlash.  Ya think?

I know I should be, by now, well beyond shock at seeing something like this, but it still gets to me.  **** you, DUmbass, you don't get to decide.  Impotent worm.
