At U.N., 175 nations sign landmark Paris accord on global warming

In a striking declaration that the world is finally ready to change its polluted ways, global leaders gathered at the United Nations headquarters here to sign the landmark Paris climate accord, an agreement thatâ€™s seen as the blueprint for rescuing the planet.

The question is whether the plan will work.

Year after year, decade after decade, the planet has been getting warmer. This March was the warmest in recorded history. Scientists say the future will be filled with food shortages, drought, rising seas and extreme weather if bold action is not taken quickly.

â€œWe are in a race against time,â€ said United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

There is at least some consistency running through these bogus catastrophes.

They are all solely caused by the profit motive of American businessmen, and their solutions always involve attacks on American business.

Remind me again about the "warmest March on record"?

We (the planet) hasn't warmed in 20 years....the only place the temperature seems to increase is in the computers if the IPCC.

I wasn't around back then, so thanks, :-) . Seriously, I knew that human = unnatural Luddism was a part of Progressivism from the 19th Century, but had not heard that Global Worming was an aspect thereof. The amount of Progressive Luddite pseudo-science that pervades our culture is dismaying:

* Environmentalism;

* Organic/natural food

* Alternative "medicine";

* Nutrition fads and "nutritional supplements";

* FrankenFood Fauxbia.

To name a few.

I can see the 1st two being caused by man but only in countries with planned economies (China, Cuba, Venezuela, etc...)
