I only liked one of his songs... Rasberry Beret.  The rest of his music just did not do anything for me. He did have some talent writing songs... I'll give him that.   I was reading an article somewhere a few years ago and it said he had written quite a number of songs that did not fit his persona and he gave them to other musicians. Some of them were hits. The one I remember from the article was Manic Monday performed by the Bangles.

Eric Bolling of The Five just mentioned a little story where someone asked Eric Clapton how it felt to be the best guitarist in the world.  Clapton responded, "I don't know--go ask Prince."

Wife's sister managed a nightclub in New Jersey area for a while after getting out of the army. One night Prince comes in unannounced and starts demanding this and that... needless to say she didn't hold very high (no pun) opinion for him. Something along the lines that he was the rudest person she had ever met.

Talented yes, rest I will leave unsaid.

TMZ is now saying that the 'flu incident' of last Friday (4/15) was actually an opioid overdose incident.
