Title: Veterans’ groups STILL waiting for funds PROMISED by Trump

Apparently the same guy on Trump’s team who is organizing his political effort is also running his fundraising for veterans, because many of them still haven’t received the money he promised.

From the Wall Street Journal:

    More than two months after Donald Trump skipped a Republican debate to hold a fundraiser for veterans, the targeted beneficiaries are still seeing a fraction of the promised money raised from the Republican’s charitable foundation and his wealthy friends.

    A survey by The Wall Street Journal of 19 of the 22 groups originally listed by Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign as the prospective recipients of the funds found that they had received roughly $2.4 million of the estimated $6 million in donations the campaign said the event generated. The total received by all of the groups is likely to be more.

    One organization refused to disclose how much it received, another said it needed to submit more paperwork before a check would be forthcoming, and one didn’t respond to multiple inquiries.

    All of the groups reported receiving checks from the Donald J. Trump Foundation or associates through the mail, and most arrived in late February in increments of $50,000 or $100,000. Three organizations reported getting smaller donations in March that averaged between $5,000 and $15,000.

    Is that how we make America great again? By making promises and not keeping them? Sounds like he’s keeping it Obama’s America.

And not all of the veterans’ groups that got money even know if it was part of the Trump promise or not!

Some charities that received funds from the various individuals and foundations said they were confused about whether they were associated with the Trump fundraiser.

“It’s a little weird,” said Keith David of the Task Force Dagger Foundation, a Texas group assisting Special Operations Command personnel, who said that he received a $50,000 check from Mr. Rahr’s foundation, but remained in the dark for weeks about whether it stemmed from the Trump event.

Mr. David said he was recently informed by one of Mr. Trump’s representatives that they were connected. “It looks like it’s from a totally separate organization,” he said.

Incredible.

The WSJ reported that team Trump declined to give them any accounting of the money they received and had handed out.

If this idiot’s organization can’t keep track of $5 million he promised to give to veterans, just imagine the insanity when he has control of our more than $3 trillion budget.

Keep in mind that while his minions go around regurgitating his line that he’s so pro-veterans, this is the first time he’s EVER donated money to veterans, aside from a measly $2,000 he gave many years ago.

Trump reminds me of this fellow;

Quote
Madman Muntz

  He was a pioneer in television commercials with his oddball "Madman" persona – an alter ego who generated publicity with his unusual costumes, stunts, and outrageous claims.
