Title: Let's talk about privilege -

It's not quite the conversation you think it's gonna be.

Let's talk about privilege - being actively investigated by the FBI...

...but still being the "odds on" favorite for the Presidency!?!

Has any other candidate in recent memory been in a situation where they were actively being investigated by the FBI but yet still has the largest chance of winning the Presidency? Sounds incredulous when you think about it.

What if Sanders or any other candidate was in this situation? How far would their candidacy go?

It seems like there's one set of rules for Hillary Clinton, but another set of rules for the rest of us.

Why is she being so vigorously propped up?

10. Its a RW wet dream that sadly some Bernie supporters have latched on to.

The indictment fairly is not coming.

30. We DO know that she is being investigated

Whether that leads to an indictment or anything worse is not known. But she is being investigated....yet again.

And yet again for arrogant stupidity of breaking the rules that mere mortals have to follow.

31. psst..

read a reuters report this morning posted here on du that investigation has now come to an end.

Although, I have to say it was a bit confusing, FBI told State Dept. to suspend investigation. It almost seemed like a typo.

I agree that other matters will poison her run up to the election but there will be no indictment, there will be no grand jury on this specific matter and as far as I can tell, pending interviews have either been suspended or already taken.

The powerful and wealthy do not ever receive justice for anything others would be thrown in the slammers for in a blink of an eye.

59. Yeah but....

Just imagine what sort of skeletons Trump has in his closet. Clinton has been coldly calculating a presidency for decades, no doubt (somewhat) keeping her record spotless. Trump has been a d*ckish alpha male business mogul doing whatever he wants for the last few decades. Remember the backlash Romney got from angry workers who were squeezed out by his private equity firm? That's going to look like a ringing endorsement in comparison to whatever comes crawling out Trump's dossier...

52. The world is laughing at us

On the Republicans side, we've got Donald Trump, a ridiculous, Fascist clown as the frontrunner.

On the Democratic side, we've got a candidate who is being investigated by the FBI, and who is about to be questioned by the FBI for having a private, unsecured email server on which she sent classified information.

This investigation into what Hillary did is going to be very rough on our country. This is going to be very rough on the Democratic party to endure all of this.

It's not funny.

36. I love these threads form the Sanders camp

No real point, not even an article to link to and discuss. Just a blog-ish screed denigrating Clinton for the evil-crime-of-the-day.

They've realized that talking up Sanders and his causes isn't making his path to the nomination viable, so the only avenue left it to tear Clinton down.

By all means, carry on.

74. Another thread listing posters

who will have some splainin' to do Ricky, when this horseshit is put to rest. Ooops, I forgot, they'll just say that the fix was in. See how that works? No accountability, no honor, no integrity needed, just innuendo and belief. The bagger types have been doing it for years, and it works too.

And this coming from "democrats". Or should I say "Democratic Socialists"? What do you want to be called today?

The Hildebeast will probably move back into the White House due to being a member of the worst Final Four in the history of American politics.
