Oh my.

A new forum, but one's a bit grouchy that Skins seems dilatory in setting up a sex forum.

Guidelines for this forum: End of Life issues

This discussion thread is pinned and locked. It is closed to new replies.

This is for both people experiencing their own end of life issues, and for those who have people with EOL issues in their lives or suppport or work with those people.

It is a non-judgemental area.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON SUICIDE: It is common, at this stage of life, to contemplate "wouldn't it be better for everyone if...." and we'll tolerate those hypothetical discussions. But if it turns out "I'm gonna tonight..." we have to invoke DU rules, which includes closing the thread and giving you some support numbers and probably notifying the administrators. Your safety is foremost. Let's not hash that out in reality, but hash it out in discussion.

You're dying. Your dad (or mom) (or spouse) (or child) is dying. A close friend is dying. It's what happens. Not easy, but part of life.

People die, but we don't discuss it much. People have plenty to say about birth, but we say so little about the other end of the process. This is where this forum will help. Keep well everyone, but if it gets hard, this is the place to go.

Support to tall.

Is it against the forum rules to urge someone that is dying to hasten their end? If I had a mole there, it could be critical information.  :whistling:

The end of life of course is a serious matter, allowing for little or no levity, but then the big guy made a mockery of it by announcing he was "terminal," ready to go any time.....and so one was compelled to feel sorry for him.

I've rarely seen such grotesque bad taste in my life.

Well, he's lasted longer than he promised us he would, which while distressing to the rest of us, is perhaps much more unsettling to his widow-presumptive, poor dear Marta.

She's not getting any younger or any more aesthetic, and every day that the big guy puts off keeping his promise, is going to make it yet more difficult for her to find a replacement, some guy who'll love and cherish and cater to her, which the big guy selfishly never did.

If the big guy had the least tincture of gallantry and nobility in him, he'd hurry up and keep his promise, so as to make her subsequent life easier.

I'm terminal too, guys, just like Steve.

I expect I will succumb to it, whatever it is, in another 50-60 years.

Just curious but how long has this guy been supposedly dying for?

It bothers me that the Big Guy (who is dying, but more slowly than expected) is such  ***** that it's unlikely he's ever handled a firearm.

Many DUmmies who have failed to overdose have ended their miserable existence with powder and lead, but that route is unlikely to be open to the Big Guy (who is dying, but more slowly than expected), since  he'd never be able to figure out how to load the weapon.

But I'm happy to offer a suggestion.

For many years, the Big Guy (who is dying, but more slowly than expected) worked in the Omaha sewage treatment plant. His job was to ride in a little catbird seat that traversed back and forth over the huge vat of incoming raw sewage. He was given a long stick with a nail in one end, and his responsibility was to fish used condoms out of the sewage before they could clog up the treatment equipment. Over the years, he became one of the top rubber snaggers in the entire department, when not off work with some phantom injury, or sleeping in the catbird seat (which he often did despite the staggering odor percolating up out of the vat).

My suggestion is that he go back to the sewer plant and explain to his former co-workers that he'd like to take one last trip in the catbird seat, for old times' sake. Then, while far out in the center of the huge vat, over ten feet of bubbling, roiling, rippling sewage, he should just take a dive. There could be no more fitting end for a DUmpmonkey.

Since November 2014 if I recall correctly.  And at that time it was imminent.  Reason for his retirement.

They might want to dangle him from a rope and dip him in the vat instead of letting him dive in.  I'd be afraid that a jump from any sort of height from a guy that is the Big Guy's size would just displace most of the sewage out of the vat.

Yeah, and this one in particular.

Not for my sake--I get along with pretty much everybody--but for poor dear Marta's sake.  It's long past time she had something good happen for her.

I do. I'll decide tomorrow or next week exactly how much I hate them.

I was going to get a PhD. in procrastination, but I figured that I could start the work next year . . . :whistling:

When has a dummie ever thought about anyone but themselves Frank?  As far as I am concerned Marta made her bed, she can sleep in it.  Serves her right.  She reminds me of LVL's, Kirk I think his name was, wife.  My 2 cents is dummie's significant others are pretty much as worthless as the dummies themselves.

These.... enablers I guess might be the word... allow these worthless parasites to exist.  Just my 2 cents.   :cheersmate:

Probably most of the threads will be about hiding assets from Medicare/Medicad and accessing any inheritance as soon as possible.

Knowing how greedily craven the primitives are, that would not surprise me the least bit.
