If Trump takes over the Republican Party there is no reason to believe that he will not consolidate his power within the political Parties and easily defeat the Democratic candidate in November. That may seem like an unthinkable possibility to most of us, but I believe it is highly likely.

Once he is sworn in as President of this country, there is no one in the House or Senate strong enough to oppose him. They would fear for their political lives. He will rule as a dictator. No one will supply enough votes to impeach him.

We are on the verge of losing our nation that was created almost 240 years ago. It is my opinion that we are much closer than we think.

Oh, noes! Maybe kentuck and some CC members should text each other ideas on how to defeat T at any cost!!!

1. Depends on who the Dem opponent is. Bernie is far better positioned to stop Donald Dump than Hillary is. Check the polls; he's been the stronger candidate for months.

4. Trump has as much chance of winning the General Election as my dog.

Zero.

In addition he will splinter the republican party to the point it'll be broken for years.

6. I believe it's not probable, but very possible. and many of his supporters are ready to do battle against opposing American citizens..

look at all the violence at Trump rallies... started by berniebots... and soros paid operatives...

11. We should take him very seriously. RW populists like Trump can run strong campaigns

appealing TP Nader instincts. They may be terrible at governing but that won't be apparent to many until it is too late.

14. Had this fear for a long time

Never thought it would be a Trump like person. But both parties had long ignored and marginalized the lower middle class in this country. The GOP used them for a funding source, and the Dems used them for their union call centers and voter lists. But the individuals themselves were always in danger of revolting to a populist candidate. The only reason I'm worried about Trump is because too many of the GOP are going to suck it up and vote for him, and too many blue collar dems are going to join him. To some degree I'm worried about a small minority of Bernie supporters who will prefer Trump to Hillary.

MAYBE if the republicans would have paid attention to the TEA party in the last election cycle and would have actually stood up and did something about Barry's shenanigans we wouldn't be where we are now. A large majority of people simply doesn't trust politicians to have their best interest in mind.

18. I'm not as worried about him winning as I was a few weeks ago.

It sounds like a couple of things might happen to rain on his parade. If he doesn't get enough delegates, they will oust him at the convention on the second round of voting. Trump would then, most likely, run as an Independent and split the vote. If he does get the delegates and is the Republican nominee, some on the right are talking about forming an Independent ticket to oppose him. Vote split again. If the worst happens and Republicans actually rally around him, then we could be screwed.

His first paragraph is pretty plausible. After that he dashed into hysterics.

Well, leftists aren't exactly known for being cool and even headed. It probably took a good measure of restraint to even get as far as he did.
