I used to like Ted Cruz, but I have concerns about these things.
Born in Canada (not eligible)?
Wife worked with Goldman Sachs and seems to be in favor of the North American Union
Campaign tactics like using fake checks to get donations and shaming letters to get votes
Helped with John Roberts' process of nomination
Uses untrue information in ads and does not pull them
Lies about his record, past pro-birthright citizenship position, and other candidates
Connections with neoconservatives and Neil Bush who seems to have had problems
Wrote editorial with Paul Ryan and still at Wall Street Journal website
Gave teddy bears with Glenn Beck to illegals
Ted Cruz needs 87% of the delegates to get to 1237, and if two candidates get there, the convention could be brokered and neither candidate would be nominated. The establishment wants to make new rules so that no popular candidate would win the nomination, and an establishment candidate would not get votes. Is Ted Cruz with his record working to benefit conservatives, or is he running to be president because of selfish ambition?
I'm glad that we have this website to discuss these things. I'm not sure that I trust him. If you share these concerns, please make sure people you know in the primary states know this information, too.

How about your own thoughts and not already disproven propaganda BS from the Trump website?
That would be a good start.

Gave teddy bears with Glenn Beck to illegals
Did each teddy bear come with a free Glenn Beck?
Punctuation is your friend. For example, 'New guy linnea15 blows racist dog whistles" means one thing, but the addition of a comma between "dog" and "whistles" creates a new message altogether.
N'est ce pas?
*Hat tip to Sgt Snuggle Bunny!

I used to like Ted Cruz, but I have concerns about these things.
Born in Canada (not eligible)?
Constitution clearly states he's eligible. This is one of many Trump lies he's spread and believed by a gullible public that has no understanding of Article 2.
Wife worked with Goldman Sachs and seems to be in favor of the North American Union
This is relevant why?
Campaign tactics like using fake checks to get donations and shaming letters to get votes
Link to the fake checks claim? Vote shaming letter wasn't the best thing his campaign came up with.
Helped with John Roberts' process of nomination
No he didn't. Another Trumpidian lie. Roberts was confirmed in 2005. Ted Cruz was not elected to the Senate until 2012. In 2005 he was the Solicitor General for the State of Texas. There is NO WAY he could have had any hand in the selection of Justice John Roberts to move from the D.C. Circuit Court to the Supreme Court.
Uses untrue information in ads and does not pull them
He has not said anything about Trump that can't be back up by...wait for it...soundbites of what the Cruz ads state.
Lies about his record, past pro-birthright citizenship position,
Link?
and other candidates
Link?
Connections with neoconservatives and Neil Bush who seems to have had problems
Ok the use of the term neocons generally is considered an anti Semitic term to say...in this case...that Cruz associates with Jews. So what if he does?
Neil Bush came on board as a fund raiser...financial guy for the campaign...again...so what?
Wrote editorial with Paul Ryan and still at Wall Street Journal website
Link? What is the context of the article?
Gave teddy bears with Glenn Beck to illegals
gave Teddy Bears to children who had been sent from Central America by their families...ALONE...what's wrong with that?
Ted Cruz needs 87% of the delegates to get to 1237, and if two candidates get there, the convention could be brokered and neither candidate would be nominated.
Trump doesn't even have half the delegates he needs. Your point?
The establishment wants to make new rules so that no popular candidate would win the nomination, and an establishment candidate would not get votes.
How does Ted Cruz factor into this?
Is Ted Cruz with his record working to benefit conservatives, or is he running to be president because of selfish ambition?
Ted Cruz is the Reagan of our era. For those of us that weren't lucky enough to vote for Ronaldus Magnus...this will be our first chance to vote for a real honest to God Constitutional Conservative.
I'm glad that we have this website to discuss these things. I'm not sure that I trust him. If you share these concerns, please make sure people you know in the primary states know this information, too.
You know what I don't like or trust? People that throw out a lot of unfounded crap like it's fact.

I agree that Ted Cruz is conservative on some things, but his conservatism is not complete or fully constitutional on trade.

A Pennsylvania judge has rejected an effort to kick Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz off the state primary ballot, ruling that the Texas senator’s birth outside of the United States doesn’t disqualify him from the ballot under the U.S. Constitution....
“Having extensively reviewed all articles cited in this opinion, as well as many others, this Court holds, consistent with the common law precedent and statutory history, that a ‘natural born citizen’ includes any person who is a United States citizen from birth,†wrote Judge Dan Pellegrini in a written opinion issued after denied the petition at a hearing Thursday. http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2016/03/11/pennsylvania-judge-rules-that-ted-cruz-is-eligible-to-run-for-president/ (http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2016/03/11/pennsylvania-judge-rules-that-ted-cruz-is-eligible-to-run-for-president/)
At least a court was willing to answer the question; something no court would do with Obama.
-
Ted Cruz has a US passport issued by the State Dept.
The State Dept, in accordance with US Citizenship Law, only issues passports to natural born citizens or those who have been naturalized.
Ted Cruz has never gone through a naturalization process.
Therefore, Ted Cruz is a natural born US citizen, in accordance with the Law.
QED.

But, but Teh Donald says liberals and good little Trumpettes will question Ted's standing. Some even go so far as to call him a Cuban-Canadian.

Gave teddy bears with Glenn Beck to illegals
This is my first post.... so I am just a newbie....
But the question here is if they gave teddybears with their own funds (or funds they raised) and not government funds. Seems they were not giving away my money, so what is the problem? Get back to me when Cruz takes my taxes to do something like this, not when he is just being nice.
Ted Cruz has shown bad judgment with his campaign staff, one of whom drove another candidate to suicide.
I saw this listed at another forum I frequent, I wasted hours hunting down the truth on this going through some liberal sites that lysol couldn't disinfect. I found nothing whatsoever that showed it was more than speculation on Trump supporters and I noticed it was dropped pretty quickly because it went nowhere.
Ted Cruz's campaign used a photoshopped picture of Marco Rubio with the president.
It was obvious photoshopped, but it was a political flyer for goodness sakes. Most are designed to give the most impact for the space allotted, so you expect it to be manipulated. You don't post two men floating in air picture in front of the WH and expect people to think the people in it can fly. Did you see the picture of Obama, it was so fake drawn that only a fool would of thought it was real. Yet that didn't keep Trump folks from playing the victim card for Marco. Good grief.

My patience with these Trump cut and paste spam bots has about come to it's end.
Either learn to make logical rational arguments on your own with your own brain and stop this stupid mind numbing tidal way of cut and past shit...
Or I'm going to petition the leadership here to up your post counts to the point that I can drag each and everyone that shows up into the Fight Club section and give you the verbal beat down you so richly deserve. This is getting ridiculous.
I have no problem engaging anyone in political debate. But spamming a discussion forum with links to liberal blogs and website articles isn't debate.
This is NOT one of those websites/discussion forums where you check your brain at the door.

.....
I see it like this... Cruz is far from perfect (like I said, how I see it). If I wanted an absolutely perfect candidate, I would vote for me because I'd agree with everything I say and do (well, for the most part. I can be a real dumba$$ sometimes). Cruz is an individual as is any other candidate. He's also a damned politician (imagine that). He's done things in the past for political leverage and due to common social pressures. Remember, 5 years ago it was taboo to say a single bad thing about illegal invaders; It would have been suicide for any politician, and was in many cases.
Yea, he's done a few non-conservative things (in my view), but that doesn't disqualify him or make him somehow less worthy of my vote than say... Trump, or Bernie. It's not even close.
He also didn't inherit billions of dollars so he's stuck using the political system and legacy campaign methods in order to attract money and fund his campaign... otherwise there is no path for him to survive as a candidate. The point being, he's going to have to rub elbows with folks who have money, some he might like, most he probably doesn't... but it's the only way to get the money.
-
In my opinion, Cruz is so disliked by the establishment because in the Senate he stood up for what he thought was right. He didn't get much help, if any, in his filibusters against the group think. I guess my vote in the Florida primary was wasted as Trump won, but I voted my conscience, which was Cruz. He'll have a tough time as President, but I trust him more than the others running, especially the Hildabeast and the Socialist.

As trolls go, this Trumpling was not very good. If you're going the Concern Troll route, pretending to be something you are and bringing up faux "concerns", have the minimal tactical sense not to use the word "concerns" in your first sentence! And for heaven's sake, disguise those bogeyman-invocations and guilt-by-association slimings better!
I'm insulted that Trumplings-R-Us assigned such an inept the duty of concern-trolling CC!
