If I Were An Employer Would Not Hire Fundamentalist Christians.
Because the funny nut Christians are so nasty and want to convert everyone I would not hire them if I were and employer. I would demand to know their church. They want it their way then I will do it my way.
I have not reason to be kind or considerate to them. That is because I have my freedom to NOT associate with these Christians. And I would not want them in my business either.
They won't get it until they are persecuted like they claim to be. So I feel free to persecute and shun them like they shun and persecute other non believers.

9. You would lose your business to the first applicant you asked about religion.
That's incredibly illegal and comes wiht extreme civil liability.
In most cases, if you were the business owner, the plaintiff would be able to pierce your corporate veil and you would spend the rest of your life being indebted to them.
All for asking what their religion is.

Bob will soon delete this. Any Banzin-ite worth his salt knows that Bob occasionally sends up trial balloons like this, and when he gets ridiculed, he takes it down.
As for the content, I'm not bothered, because I wouldn't hire cantankerous old one-footed piss-reeking yellow-hired relics like Bob.

To what GA law is TMN reacting? Something that exempts religious orgs from laws that courts might construe as requiring religious orgs to hire people whose lives violate the religious org's core values and beliefs?
Whatever. I wouldn't want to work for some one that hateful; I suspect even some atheists and agnostics wouldn't, either. Evangelical Christians are sufficiently numerous that TMN's refusal to hire talented people who happen to be Christians would, over time, enable his competitors to drive him out of business.
Looks like a good number of DU-folk are losing patience with TMN's hatefulness.

Georgia's "religious liberty law" stirs backlash from business
Last Updated Mar 16, 2016 12:32 PM EDT
While Georgia is known for peaches and pecans, some business leaders are warning that the state may become better known for a controversial bill that would allow discrimination against gay people.
The bill, which has passed Georgia's House and Senate, would prohibit "any adverse action" against organizations or people with "a sincerely held religious believe regarding lawful marriage between ... a man and a woman. Billed by supporters as a "religious freedom" law, the legislation has drawn concern from a number of businesses that say it will hurt the state and make it less competitive on several fronts.
One such business is telecommunications firm 373K, which was founded by engineer and developer Kelvin Williams. His company is planning to move to another state -- possibly Delaware or Nevada -- because of the bill, which he worries would make it more difficult to recruit workers.
"For the past year we've been building a global carrier network. We have to start hiring more," Williams said. "I can't always find the perfect person in Georgia. I might have to reach out across the world. Would I want to move to Georgia if someone else offered me a job after this? The answer was no."

That really sounds like a lame excuse to me. I think the guy seems to have been planning to move and is now using this law as an excuse. All the law is saying is that if a bakery doesn't want to make a wedding cake for a homosexual couple's wedding then said couple can't sue in response. Is this really that big of an issue when there are 10 other bakeries for each christian owned bakery that is more than willing to perform the service.
Seriously here, if a black bakery owner didn't want to make me a birthday cake because I was white then fine. I'll give my money to someone who wants it. If refusing gays service gets to be enough of an economic burden on business owners then the situation will take care of itself.

If a town had 100 bakeries, a gay couple would actively search for the ONE that wouldn't do it, and sue, get publicity etc., even though 99 would do it with no problem.
They (the lbgqxyzabc), look for those that won't.

All the bakeries have to do is quote a high price and the queers will go somewhere else. Me? I don't care who they are. If I am in the business of selling cakes I would sell one to ISIS if they paid for it. As soon as I got the money I would turn them into the FBI. :-)

All a bakery has to do is say they WILL bake the cake and the queers will go elsewhere. They're looking for someone to say no.

They weren't complaining about fred phelps (D) being refused service when his tires were slashed at one of his protests. In theory, he could've sued the tire place just as easily as a fruit wanting a wedding cake.

There's a reason the guy's comment doesn't make sense. From the CBS article:
One such business is telecommunications firm 373K, which was founded by engineer and developer Kelvin Williams. His company is planning to move to another state -- possibly Delaware or Nevada -- because of the bill, which he worries would make it more difficult to recruit workers.
"For the past year we've been building a global carrier network. We have to start hiring more," Williams said. "I can't always find the perfect person in Georgia. I might have to reach out across the world. Would I want to move to Georgia if someone else offered me a job after this? The answer was no."
Williams, who is gay, said that his staff voted in support of the decision to move the company's headquarters, although employees who want to stay in Georgia may do so. ...
It doesn't make sense because Kelvin Williams isn't moving his company based on actual issues with recruiting and hiring. He's a gay male lashing out as best he can against a government that is protecting the Constitutional rights of people he hates.
OK ... if I'm understanding 373K's LinkedIn page (https://www.linkedin.com/company/373k) correctly, there's something CBS left out of its article. 373K is classified by LinkedIn as having 10 or fewer employees. 373K's employees' favorite coffee place probably has more employees! IOW, CBS gave readers the false impression that 373K is a medium-sized or larger company that is growing in market share and employees. In reality, 373K is a very small fish in a hugemongous ocean! IOW, SEEBS didn't lie, they just selected facts to deceive.

:rotf: :rotf: H-5 apiece to Carl and Mr M! :rotf: :rotf:
I suspect there's some interesting stuff in the background of this (and similar) episode(s) of TMN's bigoted and hateful outbursts. Maybe TMN was late in taking a dose of some med? Maybe he got a PM or two along the lines of, "Bob, you're a faithful Democrat and member of DU, but your outbursts of hate and spite are too much! You make yourself look bad, and you make DU look bad. Please self-delete your post. If you don't we will, and have to give you a time-out as well. If we are forced to do that your BP will shoot through the ceiling, and you might not survive it. Please make it easy on all concerned and self-delete." My version is probably much less verbose than what Skinner would write, but I think it's otherwise quite plausible.

http://www.businessinsider.com/373k-leaving-georgia-over-anti-gay-bill-2016-3
373K is a telecom provider with about 20 employees
"One reason we decided to leave is because our employees are from around the world. You name it, we’ve got it here. What I tell people is that, under this law, if it is to become a law, I only have two employees that would be acceptable in the state of Georgia, only two heterosexuals that have only been married once," he says.
His team includes people of multiple faiths (Muslim, Buddhists, atheists), single divorced parents, and members of the LGBT community, all of whom he fears could be targets of discrimination, or worse, in Georgia's current political climate.
Sounds like he discriminates against straight people.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
YOUR COMMENTS
This sort of religious bigotry has absolutely NO place at DU.
Please hide.
JURY RESULTS
A randomly-selected Jury of DU members completed their review of this alert at Thu Mar 17, 2016, 01:34 PM, and voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT ALONE.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Au contraire, dear alerter: Religious bigotry is the coin of the realm at DU. It's why I don't send money anymore. I've made my (sort-of) peace with that fact, because the religious bigots here are far too numerous and far too popular to ever be dislodged or even discomfited.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: While I am tempted to hide it for atrocious grammar, it is not "religious bigotry" as he is pretty much targeting "bigots" for a taste of the own medicine. It is poorly written, but that is what I see. He is not advocating other people do this, only stating what he personally would do in a hypothetical situation.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: From DU's Terms of Service: "Do not post bigotry based on someone's race or ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or lack thereof, disability, or other comparable personal characteristic."
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Seems like satire.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Wrong headed and inflammatory, but not hide worthy. I would point out that the alerted post ironically espouses the same intolerance that they accuse fundy's of.

What I tell people is that, under this law, if it is to become a law, I only have two employees that would be acceptable in the state of Georgia, only two heterosexuals that have only been married once," he says.
Williams has to misrepresent the proposed law - in two ways - to make his point. He'd have to search long and hard to find a business or non-profit org that would refuse to hire a divorcee or single parent for "religious reasons". Williams knows no MSM outlet will call out his deceptiveness.
Kudos to BusinessInsider for including the information that lets its readers willing to see it recognize this character's lack of significance and other MSM outlets' hype.

This vote and comment captures DU reality by expressing it:

Personally, I wish TMN were a business owner and did discriminate against Evangelical Christians. He could "watch" his competitors hire the talented people he (TMN) refused to hire. TMN could watch those talented people out-perform the less-talented people he (TMN) did hire and slowly drive him (TMN) out of business (and thereby fuel TMN's hatred and bitterness).
Some people learn the easy way, without the unpleasant experience. Some people learn after the unpleasant experience. A few people refuse to learn despite repeated unpleasant experiences. I perceive TMN to be one of the latter.
