Ruin the rest of their lives': Donald Trump calls for arrests after wave of protests at rally

Source: sfgate

After a string of separate protests, Trump started asking his event security what happens to hecklers after they're ejected.
"By the way, what do they do? Do they arrest these people? What happens? Do they arrest them or do they just put them outside?" he asked.
Trump decided he very much wanted see the protesters, some of whom he claimed were violent, have a criminal record:

'
I hope they arrest these people because they're really violating all of us, OK? And I hope they're arrested. I hope they're arrested, because honestly they should be. ... I hope you arrest these people because I'll tell you, they deserve to be arrested. And some of them are very violent. But I'm going to ask that you arrest them. I'll file whatever charges you want. Who the hell knows.

"We're going to go strongly for your arrest," he said. "And I'm going to do this from now on. Let's ruin the rest of — they're going to ruin the rest of their lives. If they want to do this, let them have a big arrest mark."

After yet another heckler interrupted his rally Saturday night, Trump again called for lives to be "ruined":

I hope these guys get thrown into a jail. They'll never do it again. It'll destroy their record. They'll have to explain to mom and dad why they have a police record and why they can't get a job. And you know what? I'm going to start pressing charges against all these people, OK? ... The only way that we're going to stop this craziness is if we press charges. Because then their lives are going to be ruined.

3. Is Trump going to pay the legal fees for the guy in NC? He claimed he would pay "his" peoples legal fees... or was that a Lie as well?

6. I have a paranoid vision

Trumps supporters have a large number of guns. What if he tells them to assemble just past the legal perimeter of polling stations in swing states in November? All hell could break loose.

Please tell me I am just paranoid and there is nothing to worry about. He wouldn't, would he? His supporters wouldn't, would they? Government security forces would be able handle it, wouldn't they?

In Other Words "What if Republicans act in a legal manner!?!? What could we do to create a situation and throw the system into chaos!?!"

10. It could create havoc in some locales

I think the US Department of Justice and FEC are not without planning for such contingencies.

A stolen election had the taint of illegitimacy.

One seized by threats of violence would leave no doubt.

It would be another effort to overturn the Constitution, much like Senators refusing to do their jobs.

It's certainly not clear the two parties would cooperate to resolve election chaos, but I also doubt the Supreme Court would install a dictator.

Clinton violated election law last week and nothing was done by the DOJ. Now you are suggestion that Republicans who obey the law and do nothing illegal should be arrested??? Let me remind you of this:

7. I don't understand how some people are not scared by this Fascist, or even support him? How American is it to say, "Don't protest against me or otherwise I'll ruin the rest of your life?" Are Americans morons?

29. Basic fascist mentality.

Those who support him fit his "mold" of what a person should look like.. What a person should be like.. What a person should live like.. What morals those people "should" have.

They aren't scared by it because it's all about protecting and entitling them.

Very archtypal behavior from the right: When it doesn't affect me, to hell with them. When it does affect me.. Where's my assistance?

34. Trump scares me.

“Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.

Also remember that you were not allowed to disagree or protest hitler.

Trump is off the rails and every America has a civic responsibility to protest him. He is a real threat to American freedom.

Yea I know Goodwin's law but the time has come to ignore Mr Goodwin.

Federal laws ban protests and disruptions in buildings or grounds where the Secret Service is responsible for the safety of an individual.

Trump could press for federal charges to be filed against these people.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Do criminal things, receive criminal punishment.

These thugs need to receive the full reward due their thuggery. Give all those theologically liberal "Christians" a chance to show their faith in action by visiting these thugs in jail and/or prison.

This nation NEEDS thugs like this to be punished for their thuggery. If they aren't the thuggery will continue and escalate.

I hope Rs and conservatives have the sense not to retaliate against Tsaritsa CHILL and The Bern. Let them make asses of themselves and their 'bots.

Spelling aside, bring it, twerp. Except for places like Chicago and maybe SF and Berserkeley, most PDs understand what free speech actually means. And if you force them, they'll teach you.

If we are lucky they will all finally pack up and leave the country this time... or off themselves.  Either one works.  :cheersmate:

A commentator on Fox, who is also a radio host said on Sunday, "they should stop calling them Trump rallies and start calling them job fairs.  These people will stay away."   :lmao:
