SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — Fish and Wildlife officials are replenishing the New England cottontail rabbit population.

The Great Swamp Management Area in West Kingston will be home to a group of rabbits who are being located there to try to increase the local population.

The thick brush is the perfect home for the New England Cottontail rabbit, which is a species close to being added to the endangered list a few years ago.

Why not increase the ptarmigan population????????????????  :banghead: :mad: :argh:

God is on ptarmigan's side.

My wife puts out peanuts for the squirrels and corn for the rabbits.

It took a long time to get our Beagle not to bark at them while they were sharing their meal in the back yard.
