Sorry guy' this election cycle has really got me thinking what is the use.
For the first time in american history america stands on the verge of electing an afro-american as president, yet I don't feel the same hope or joy that I felt as a youngster hearing MLK, JFK and RFK speak. Theres no feelings of yes real change is happening.
Maybe its the age thing after experincing real change I can look back and see that for those breif years america went back to the way it was before the change. In fact today its worse then it was during the Jim Crow years. Today its hidden racism and code words to hide racism and even worse the disabled and poor get blamed for all of americas problems.
When Clinton was elected after 12 years of republican rule, I had hopes that things would change for the better and america would go back to pre Reagan years. Then the morons elected republicans to control both houses of the senate and the contract against america came out pure evilness at best, greed still ran rampent, corporate america still bled jobs over sea's, the religious right went on a killing spree and the blame game was in full swing.
Were the Clinton years better then the Reagan or Bush I years, in some ways yes, but where it mattered most no, it was the same, blame blame blame and do nothing.
Then in 2000 america got a choice between boring Al and the town drunk and corporate america crowned the town drunk president and things got real nasty,. Yes I voted for boring Al because by 2000 I realized that republicans were pure evil corupt assholes, even their devoted followers were evil and still are, blame blame blame, give me screw everyone else types who breast fed themselves and changed their own diapers as well as educated and hired themselves with no help from outside sources, yeah
Bull Shit at its best and it was kinda amusing in a sic sort of way, after all you had to wonder how many time these morons were dropped on their heads or if they only had half a brain. They always talk about others responsibilities yet take non for themselves, everything that happened in their lives was plkaned out from the day they were dropped from the womb.
Maybe part of my problem lays from taking the SO to the clinic yesterday, small clinic that has a drug store attached. Sitting out in the parking lot waiting for SO, I see the security guard slinging crack. In the 2 hour wait I was approched by 8 hookers looking for quick cash to buy crack.
It made me realize after over 15 years it was the same as it was when I was living that life and it looked like the same players, in fact it dawned on me one of the hookers was a woman I dated for 6 months when she first started using crack, I left because she started stealing from me, at the time she was also starting to do select tricking, today shes a street whore hanging out on the corner. It dawned on me nthing really changes, we live our lives with short periods of joy and long periods of misery.
I remember so well Reagan, Bush I and the republican control of the senate and it made me realize that my hopes when Clinton was elected were false, remember Democratics were saying after 12 years of Reagan rule no one would dare trust a ****ing republican again, boy did we have short sighted ideals or did we not realize how far corporate america would go to get control of the government.
So tell me really what change is Obama going to bring that will stop corporate america? Yes I am voting Obama so is the SO and my parents well at least mom will dad I'm no longer sure of because he has alzhiemers and every time I see him he has forgotten more, I try to stir his memory but can see that he tells me what I want to hear, yeah he remembers that. My concern is what happens to america after Obama? Will america grow up and stand up to big daddy corporate americaor will big daddy screw us again?
It's a new bonfire; most of the primitives haven't seen it yet.

I'm guessing the irony of blaming republicans/Christians/corporate America for all of life's ills while accusing said groups passing off blame is lost on this moron. I swear if I was this miserable I think I'd kill myself. They obviously have NO desire to make their situation better so what's the point of continuing when one is this unhappy?

I think the democrats have finally realized they're running out of voters. They emptied the nuthouses to gain votes, they signed up the ignorant to vote, they lowered the voting age to 18, they took on feminazi causes, they brought the queers and childmolesters into their fold, they've boken the country with entitlements in an effort to buy votes, they vote as many dead people as they can get away with, they've coluded with illegel aliens to gain illegel votes and now they want to give voting rights back to ex-felons.
It has finally dawned on them that they're running out of places to scrape votes from the bottom of the barrel.

If after spending your whole life chasing something that no other reasonable person wants, try-try again is only going to create additional laugher.

They know that despite their wishes Obama isn`t running away with the race.
At this point he should easily be 20 points up yet he is for all practical purposes in a dead heat.

Yes, the Cold War and daily fears of Nuclear Armageddon were so much better.
And gas lines.
And 12% unemployment.
And 11% inflation.
And 23% mortgage rates.
And the USSR EXPANDING thier sphere of influence.
And giving the Panama Canal away................eventually to the chicoms.
Clearly these people were either to stoned or not yet able to comprehend the situation under the reign of the incompetent one.
