Or influential. I mean, she wasn't even a Senator or Secretary of State. She was just married to this guy with an important job, while she baked cookies and decorated and stuff.

Why do they keep talking about how powerful she was and how much influence she had?

Read a bio book about the Reagans, Ida.  And not the garbage about astrology or some crap about dresses & White House china.  President Reagan trusted her judgment, as she did occasionally wield sage advice.

Hypothyroidism.  Hyper would mean over active.  Not to be critical, my friend.

I was alluding to her "bug-eyed" appearance in the one pic, which I believe is a symptom of hyperthyroidism.
