Los Angeles Area DU'ers stay safe
that storm is nasty. I am sure you know this already, but you will be under rain, thunderstorms are likely and high winds for a few hours.
::)

2. No joke, we are getting the leading edge overnight
this is El Nino and could be quite damaging

5. I mentioned LA since I am looking at the radar for SOCAL
You are under a flash flood watch, Thunderstorms and wind advisories. The radar has some nasty cells forming.
I have Storm on the Iphone and it is my personal NWS feed... truly

7. I should do a gear check just in case we need to go cover something
tomorrow
But I have so much other stuff to do.

9. I know
Scanner will go on (assuming I am still awake, as soon as the storm enters the county)

11. Hmm I guess my radar return is wrong then
And it is quite possible, once you understand how it works.
Of course looked at it again, the blob is north of you
:rotf:

Nadin has her own weather radar?

She must be addressing someone in Ensenada. :whistling:

That is some hard hitting reporting, right there.

If anyone deserves a Pull it, sir. Prize, its Nads.

Nadin has her own weather radar?
It was an factory upgrade option she had installed on her good rig when she first purchased it way back when.
-
For those of you not located in Southern California: it drizzled overnight.

The nastiest cell in California is the one her husband finds when he lifts up her jelly roll to find her glory hole...truly.

her glory hole...truly.
It is neither a hole, nor is there much glory to be had there. It must be a gaping abyss, into which if one stares, something worse than Nietzschean happens.

Tattooed on her belly, with an arrow pointing down:
Este camino a Ensenada.

Not only does it stare back, it tells you're doing it wrong.

She's a waddling Doppler!

H5 earned and issued. You owe me a keyboard and monitor. I'm gonna laugh about that one for days.

The SF Bay Area got hit good and hard ... yesterday. I was expecting overcast and maybe showers this AM, but it was clear skies much of the morning (I was running/walking in an 8K race this AM). After a mostly dry February, the storm was very welcome.
Dunno what blob nads saw in what instrument ... maybe a mirror?

The storm was a gay SJW?

More likely a conservative storm ... I saw that the Guadalupe River was pretty full this AM in central San Jose. Maybe the river got high enough to force the homeless people out of their encampments and washed away their crap - literal, and movable "property".

The nads weather station:

A FB friend who lives in the Marina del Rey area posted about his Sunday run near the beaches. The pix showed blue skies and palm trees bending to stiff wind, and his comment indicated blowing sand.
nads needs to recalibrate her weather station, or at least get the AccuWeather page for the right city and continent.

Her concern for high winds anywhere is quizzical, as I doubt that her hair would mind the breeze even the slightest bit, and as a member of the platypus family, there does not exist a wind strong enough to do much more than blow her over on her side. Anyone who has owned an egg of Silly Putty can attest that Nads would be set upright again fairly easily, nearly automatically.
