I just got a call from a volunteer with the HRC campaign. I told her I supported Bernie,
said, sounding surprised, "You're a Bernie supporter?"
"Yes," I said, "and you should be, too, if you ever want a chance to take our country back from the banksters, the corporations, and the 1%. Besides, the polls show that Bernie would mop the floor with any of the Republican candidates, while Hillary shows just a 1-point lead over Trump--which is within the margin of error--and losing badly to all of the other possible candidates. Maybe you should give some thought to this information and switch sides."
^^^this particular primitive knows better than to lie like this.

3. Any reply or did she just hang up?

6. She was very polite. She thanked me for my time and then I thanked her
for listening, asked her to think about what I had said, and then said goodbye.
I suspect that I won't get any more calls from that campaign, though, since the volunteer probably made a note that I would try to persuade callers to switch sides.
ON EDIT: We were BOTH polite and friendly. I think that is important.

20. Nice job! Are you also phonebanking for Bernie at all? You'd be terrific!

22. No--because I am *severely* hearing impaired. In fact, it took three tries
before I could even figure out that the woman was calling from Hillary's campaign. I had to keep asking her to speak up and to speak more slowly so I could understand what she was saying.
Even when wearing my hearing aids, I rely heavily on lipreading to understand--and I get a lot wrong anyway.
I use both closed captioning AND the volume up all the way to follow TV.

^^^leader of the Bernie bullies on Skins's island, although the strings on him are being pulled by Skippy, the now-banned NYC_SKP primitive, from behind the scenes, off the stage.

Yet no problem hearing the phone ring and answering knowing you are deaf. ::)

Read an interesting one today about Barney's finances being down. "Spring Break is coming, Beer or Bernie?" :rotf:

I think Barney may have been the Best Man. of course he may have given the bride away based on what is his holding in his hand ... :rimshot: :bolt:
Vt plate and classic T1-11 mis-matched garage. Must been one of Barney the carpenters jobs.

C'mon, man. Helping his campaign would, you know, cost money and stuff. Plus, they'd have to get up off the couch, wade through the pizza boxes, take a shower, walk up the steps out of moms basement, and get out there. Too much work for a DUmmie.

Yeah, she's legitimately almost deaf, and has had a rough before--it's more difficult for women, than for men, to be hard-of-hearing or deaf--but I could never figure out why she chooses to make her life more difficult by being a primitive.
