Is Twitter Silencing Conservatives?
http://legalinsurrection.com/2016/02/is-twitter-silencing-conservatives/

Quote
Twitter, an invaluable news aggregator when properly run and used, has seemingly taken aim at conservatives and those advocating conservative causes.

In early January, Twitter stripped Breitbart Tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos (@Nero on Twitter) of his “verification,” saying he violated the anti-harassment Terms of Service.

No surprise from Twitter. It is full of dregs of society. Sometimes Twitter makes DU look sane. :mental:

A lot of "verified" twitter accounted are losing their verifying stars. Plus a lot of tweets don't show up unless you go to the persons page.

It's deliberate.  The special snowflakes that run Twitter can't stand having their fellow travelers questioned.

I'm not much for conspiracy level stuff, but I think it's safe to say a lot of sites are attempting to silence people who don't support their direct causes. It doesn't even have to be conservatives, so long as someone important in the company disagrees with you.

It's a well known fact that the CBC censors people on their website, but you've got websites like Github, which should be impartial, taking extreme stances and punishing those who don't agree.

Put simply, I'd fully believe that Twitter was silencing conservatives.

I was on Twitter for a very short time early last year. However, I deleted all of my accounts after someone had said that my comic strips were "unfunny, conservative, and weird." I particularly take offense to the "unfunny." I was very upset over this for two straight weeks. For instance, I made several phone calls to my mother, and was ranting and yelling to her of stuff that bothers me greatly. That Twitter comment is also the reason I started to see a therapist again. Since then, I try to avoid Twitter completely. This person, though, was talking to someone else, and not me. According to this person's profile, his website domain name is something that sounds hateful, and is very anger-inducing. This person considers himself a socialist, but I describe him as something on the left of communism.

I was also on Facebook for a few years, but deleted my account when I had a disagreement with someone on hot-button issues, like Fox News and homosexuality. I deleted my account because I did not want this to escalate. I am the type that thinks about things over and over. Perhaps it may be connected with my Aspergers, or possibly with some obsessive compulsive disorder that I may have.

Facebook was fun at first, but that eventually wore off. I had read profiles of some people I know as well, but I had felt very much like I was spying on them, which, to me, is a horrible feeling. The reading of others' profiles, I find, can also be very depressing.

I'd like to see some of your work. Can you start a thread in Blogs and share?

Yes, I can start a thread there. I have a website with my comics, too, but only the less potentially offensive ones are more widely available to the public, though. I could also attach images with my comments, if it is possible here.

I've done a few episodes that are politically driven in nature, as well as a few that could be potential hot-button material, although most of the episodes that I've done are not of that nature.

I look forward to seeing your work. Don't hold back, we're not special snowflakes!

I decided to create a PDF file with these episodes. It is 33.1 MB in size. A link to this file is located in the Blogs section, called "The website of my comic strips."

Gotta give the left one thing, from the MSM on down to social networking and blogging they have a propaganda machine Stalin would envy. It's getting to the point you can't even watch television without having to sit through their agenda.

That's why I don't watch modern television or entertainment. For the same reason, I avoid many news sources, too. At least there is some like-minded stuff on the Internet, if one looks around more thoroughly. I believe some of the conservative sources are lesser known compared to their liberal counterparts, however.
