karl rove was in nasville tn. this weekend....held a fundraiser and barred the press.
Advertisements [?]wonder what karl tells 'em he don't want the press to hear?

(snip)

The annual Statesmen's Dinner on Saturday night featured Karl Rove, former strategist for President Bush, as well as many of the state's most prominent Republicans, including former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and

members of Tennessee's congressional delegation.

Among the largest donations were $50,000 from Frist's political action committee, VolPAC, and $25,000 that U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp of Chattanooga donated from his campaign.

This year's event stirred controversy after Hobbs told The Associated Press last week that the event, held at the Nashville Convention Center, was not open to the press.

1. It's not just the press he needs to hide from ... it's the citizenry!
People in Iowa tried to perform a "citizens' arrest" on him
recently. Hope this trend continues!

and that went SOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo well, didn't it?

It was a private event, he can invite or not invite whoever he wants. Karl Rove is not a public servant thus he doesn't have to even acknowledge the stupid press.
There is quite a bit the DUmmies don't understand isn't there?

How many more days does Karl Rove have before he is not arrested for declining the non-legal subpoenas issued by the witch hunting partisans in congress?

That issue seems to have fallen down the charts on the DUmpmonkey's Hot 100.

State GOP closes fundraiser to media (http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008807250408)

The state's Republican Party spokesman says this year's annual fundraiser will be closed to the news media even though reporters have been welcomed at previous dinners.

But state Democratic Party spokesman Wade Munday said he doesn't believe that to be the case.

"The Tennessee Democratic Party has always held a tradition that our annual Jackson Day fundraiser will be open to the press," he said.

Hobbs dismissed that, saying "Democrats do a lot of things that Republicans don't do."

Well considering how the Code Pinko's have shown the world how easy it is to forge Press Passes and rush the President at an event...it's VERY understandable...for security and personal safety reasons...why Mr. Rove didn't want to allow a hoarde of hostile media types into the event.

I wouldn't let the bastards in either.

Why would anyone allow the same people into an event like that after they have spent years calling him everything but the father of Charles Manson?
