I was always told that as people get older, they get more conservative. What happened to me?
I just turned 38 three weeks ago and I am looking at myself.
I think I am more liberal now than I was 20 years ago. Now that I am becoming a successful screenwriter and producer, I should be getting more and more conservative. In a few weeks time, I will become a millionaire on the sale of three screenplays and have a back end deal for 5% of the movie at the box office.
I am becoming exactly what a Republican wants and a conservative is. What happened? I am even more liberal now with an even bigger social conscience.
Now that I will have the means to do what I can, I can't bring myself to hoard. I will put away for my family and my children, but I have so many projects planned (building school libraries, funding arts and humanities departments, my wife is planning to work at World Hunger Year and my pet charity, the Innocence Project).
Aren't I supposed to not care anymore because I got mine? If so, why can't I do it in good conscience?

And that's when Conservatism will start to creep in. Once you realize how much of the money the Federal government will take from your earnings and you realize it's going to all the free loading pot smoking miscreants that you're surrounded by at the DUmp. If there is to be a transformation at all that's when it will start.
Either that or you'll just get filthy rich and pretend to care about the plight of the little people from the pool at your mansion in Holmby Hills.

Stop rubbing the other DUmmies' collective noses in your success, DUmbass. You didn't build that.
And... it's very pretentious of you to describe your work as 'screenplays'. Outlines for a trilogy of midget granny porn videos, shot on an iPhone, do not constitute 'screenplays'.

Um, studies repeatedly show that conservatives tend to greatly exceed liberals at charitable giving. They know that when they give to worthwhile charities, the money will be used wisely to actually help people rather than fattening the wallets of corrupt beaurocrats.
And that's when Conservatism will start to creep in. Once you realize how much of the money the Federal government will take from your earnings and you realize it's going to all the free loading pot smoking miscreants that you're surrounded by at the DUmp. If there is to be a transformation at all that's when it will start.
And Commie scum like the DUmmies will accuse him of being an evil rich monster who hates poor people, and demand that he be punished for the hideous crime of being rich.

Claims to be far left and becoming even more so; making gobs of money (which the berns should obviously hate on that alone) but wants to be taxed at 90% and more if it means it goes towards the greater good; rejects the desire to be greedy; gives to all the right charities; wants to use his undeserved wealth to give something to others; has all the right Hollywood connections; etc...
That's a little too perfect.
They eat this up and this mole can do just about anything.

People generally get more conservative as they get older, because they get smarter and more experienced. For example, conservative folks paid attention to what jonathan gruber said. You (D)Ummies on the other hand did not, and deprived yourself of a valuable learning experience, shortchanging yourself from growing smarter and more experienced. Instead, you and the rest of the (D)Ummies burrowed yet farther into your safe spaces.
That is what happened to you.
